The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.

Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas.
Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas. Venice is centrally located. Venice has a great dog beach. Venice is very easy to navigate and traffic is not an issue. Traveling with 2 big dogs was not an issue. Easy to find dog-friendly areas.
This is an bungalow style hotel with kitchens in the rooms. The property has been nicely updated, and the location is wonderful. We were on a road trip, and I booked this hotel for a one night stay. We loved the beach and the hotel, so we stayed a second night. This area is great- no high rise buildings, and quiet. We will definitely return for a longer stay!
It was such a beautiful and well kept home. There was so much space and the house was clean. Loved that they had some items provided in the kitchen like water and basic condiments, coffee, and creamer. The location was close enough to the beach that we could walk and enjoy the sunset every night. It was close to historic Venice and caspersen beach.
The location was great. Only minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast is not included or available. The room had everything you could need to go to the beach, chairs, towels, shark teeth rakes, umbrella. The pool was clean the washer and dryer are a great free convenience. The landscaping was beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet.
I ate at Blu Island Tues through Thursday . The food was awesome and the vibe was a funky vibe that was awesome . The staff was awesome and friendly. I also enjoy the Crossant.co the french bakery .
Venice beach was awesome and I love the town with all the shops and restaurants,
I also love the staff at Tropical Villa.
This property is extremely pet friendly. They have several bag disposal stations (they provide the bags!)
The pool area is immaculate & beautiful. Rooms are all outside accessible which is great for those with pups. Rooms are very cleans, beds comfy. Hotel restaurant, & outside bar were awesome too.
Addy’s is well situated for beach & restaurant access. I love the Old Florida look of the cottages combined with modern conveniences.
The guest laundry is a nice touch and the pool is clean, tidy with excellent patio furniture.
The staff are friendly and helpful
Very relaxing experience
Location great, premises great, Breakfast was more than adequate and you could have as much as you wanted.
Pool/Beach towels were available and you could exchange as often as required
Room good size and offered comfortable accommodation
Pretty much the only thing we liked was the location: three minute walk to the beach (which was lovely) and about 7 minute walk into the centre of Venice. Oh, and at least the towels were very good quality.
Excellent location for the beach, the Main Street, and nearby parks. Safe, clean, and ample parking. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The hotel has an "Old Florida" charm.
