Guntersville is one of my favorite places to visit.
Guntersville is one of my favorite places to visit. I love walking the trails near the lake while my husband fish. Locals are very friendly. I enjoy shopping at the local thrift stores. Guntersville is a great little town on Lake Guntersville and adjacent to Lake Guntersville state park. It's a little like a mix of a southern beach town and a north eastern fishing village. Everything you could need is close by with Publix grocery store and a Walmart so anything you forgot to bring is easily obtained. For natural beauty, the Guntersville area, with roads cutting through high hills with cliffs down to the lake and rivers and abundant forests resembles the area around Gatlinburg, TN. The lake is huge and beautiful with plenty of recreational activities available.

A very beautiful place to visit especially at this time of year when the leaves are changing and as the sun sets on the beautiful lake and river. Looking for an amazing place to eat although a bit on the pricy side is the Top of the River restaurant. The food is amazing and plenty to share. Another great eating place is inside the Wyndham and that is the Aqua Restaurant plenty of food and very tasty. Lots to do or just take a break and rest. The view of the bridge and boats on the water was so relaxing. There were several eating places, easy to get to , and could order and pick up. Loved that it had a lot of places to eat, which helped with no waiting. We ate at the Waffle House and we were the only ones there, which made it super nice. The place was clean and staff friendly. The Lake was absolutely beautiful to look at and the ball park we attended was exceptional. Would love to go back sometime.Grace

Already had plans for dinner but the grills located next to rooms will be used on next visit for sure. The breakfast everyday was hot and staff was very helpful. Hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon and fruit was great. Even with events going on there was always parking at the hotel. I'm not sure why such bad reviews on other sites but we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

We had a little mishap with the mini fridge but someone came within minutes to check it out he got it fixed (not the hotels fault previous stayers tore the knob off and the fridge defrosted) once it was running it literally got cold enough to freeze our stuff 🤣 but they were very prompt to address the problem!!
