Impressive at first sight: posh overall appearance, baroque style furniture (we had Deluxe Double room), a bottle of Chardonnay as welcome gift. They have an interior pool & SPA but under repair at the time of our stay; sauna was available.
Child friendly: there is a child pool with a small slider, an outside playground with a swing, a playground next to the restaurant/ terrace. NB: the pool is clean (we read contrary reviews before), the child pool might have a leaf or two, but that due to the trees above it.
The room was clean, towels changed in 2 days (as I recall), reception desk very friendly.
Breakfast was average.
A quiet beautiful area immediately next to Queen Mary's castle & the botanical garden, 2 supermarkets nearby and quite a few traditional restaurants.

i wouldn't go the second time. a bunch of crooks. parking in the street is not possible not bc there r no spots but bc they r blocked by the owner of the parking lots so u don't have a choice but to park in the parking lots and pay 2$ an hr .also the visiting of the palace of regina maria its a rip off it cost to get with the car in 22$ a person and its not much to see for that price. To get to the beach u have to pay an entrance. the food and service at most restaurants stink.in parts of the city where u can park in the street the way to pay is by text message but u have to have a local phone nr which u don't and then the app is done u only have the choice of paying for 24 h /6$ .also the instruction for parking has a sticker in top of the instruction with a QR that a ripof and that's with the help of the authority cause those stickers r on all instruction thru out the city and the city doesnt do any eforts to remove them .conclusion not the second time for me .too bad cause its a place with a lot of potential

Balchik is like a gem!
Balchik is like a gem! Beautiful landscapes near the Black Sea and that unique sensation that you can experience in the Patatuli gardens of Queen Marie, namely that you can have both the Sea and the Smell and the feeling of a day spent in nature. in the heart of the forest or surrounded by the most beautiful flowers.
The cliff has some rocks on the edge facing the sea with discreet sculptures on them, interesting to look at.
We had a sunset, for which we took 1 bottle of prosecco and 2 glasses, a blanket and ran to catch it, after which we had dinner at one of the restaurants on the seafront.
We ended the evening with a walk to the port, admiring the beautiful architecture of the buildings on the seafront.
For a romantic get away weekend it's perfect!
Friendly staff accepetd me to check in 2hrs before former time.What 's been great to me.Big room with big bed &kitchen anex ..telly ,balcony ,swimming pool ,sunbath tarace .Easy check in or check out..

This is a Beautifull hotel directly on the sea. I had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea, gorgeous views of the sunrises and sunsets, and slept the sound of ocean waves…very relaxing! But the best was meeting Miro, my host, who spoke perfect English, and generously helped me plan my trip through Bulgaria. He was delightful to speak with, and helped me tremendously. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and will definitely stay again the next time in Balchik.
We stayed at The Selena Hotel in december , very out of season, but the hotel was warm and cosy. We booked a studio room with a kitchenette which had everything we needed, toaster, kettle, microwave,hotplate etc. The room was large and spacious with balcony and we could just see the sea even though we had a "city" view! We ate at the hotel and loved the food,and we looked after by Deedo ,our barman, waiter and tourist guide . Nothing was too much truble.
The view of the house is just breathtaking. From the top, you can see the beautiful Bulgarian cliffs. House was well equipped with a long big table inside, which could accommodate 8th ppl for dinner. We also really appreciate the electric piano. Cozy furniture in the leaving room. Our host Veronica was very nice and always responsive.
Serene and quiet place. A big balcony with beautiful scenery. There is a pretty little garden with really delicious fig tree. The hostess is kind, genial, friendly and always ready to help. Our family was really happy and pleased to spend the vacation at Мега vacation home in Balchik! Keep up the good work and happy vacationers!
Everything was perfect. The staff was very nice and helpfull with all we needed. The location is perfect and the hotel is renovated. Very good food and breakfast with all you need. There is also free parking and a nice terrace. We had a good stay and sure we'll be back. Thank you for everything!
- breakfasts, lunches and dinners were tasty. the quality of the products was ok;
- bartenders were smiling;
- the beach was clean;
- the hotel was clean around;
- the room was big;
- nice lobby at the reception;
- a very quiet area where you can relax;
- the air conditioning worked good.
We liked everything about the location. The complex is something out of Agatha Christie's novels (luxury complex near a cliff, you have a lovely view of the sea), the staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful each time there was problem & we were very close to the Balchik.
Excellent hotel on the sea front in the centre of Balchik. Very clean throughout. Lovely rooms. Restaurant on site. Super choice of breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Very good air conditioning. Mini bar in room. A super Balchik hotel 🙂
The property has a great location. Right on the beach so we were just opening our door and poof, on the beach.
It is comfy, clean and the staff ia great, reaponsive and helpful. I love Bulgaria and the people I met at the property.
Great location, next to the promenade and to a small beach (you need to go very early to book seats). Hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful and most cameras have sea view (at least partial view).
Amazing view, very nice room and patio, great comfortable mattress. The hotel has its own swimming pool. It's merely a few minutes to the beach and the botanical gardens. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
I liked the location, close to beach. However, due to the public parking, it was noisy and pollution.
I like the hotel design, how they blended the modern with the antique and a little bit of rustic Provence.
Our room was ready, even if were did a very last minute booking. The owners of the hotel are very friendly. Unexpectable big room, nice view and probably the best location in town. Thank you!
Many times 10! A great guest house in Balchik, 5 minutes away from the beach and the center. The owners are the best one could meet. I would like to go back the next summer.
