The staff were very attentive to various guests wishes, and comfort, including acting as a Sherpa to convey my luggage to the upper level room allocated to me. However....

We chose this hotel because it was directly opposite the cathedral and was very central to Wells itself and we absolutely loved it. The staff members were all extremely helpful and friendly and went the extra mile. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and our room was amazing!! We will definitely stay here again, very soon!

Four poster room was very lovely and tranquil.. (Until later) very large too. Lots of windows with lovely views but well protected with wooden blinds. Nice selection of beverages in room. Bar/ dinning area downstairs comfy and relaxed. Staff were nice. Real ales which was great find for me. Starter of veg steam dumplings very good, venison unfortunately overcooked and tough, quite a small plate of food for the price as only given a dessert spoon of sliced potatoes for some reason but the heritage carrots and jus were lovely.

Well sound proofed room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Good advice as to where to head for breakfast. Nice location just on the edge of the central part of the city. Reasonably cheap over night car park within easy walking distance.
