Lovely characterful hotel with excellent accommodation. Dinner and breakfast could not be faulted and the same goes for the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Staying next in Hotel du Vin in Cambridge. Our first choice whenever we can get it.

I did not visit Wareham itself as I was staying in Corfe Castle which is a beautiful village. I was holidaying with my dog and there were plenty of places that welcome dogs including tea rooms, the Swanage steam railway and some boat tours from Swanage.SusanUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Wareham is such a lovely place!!
Wareham is such a lovely place!! It's full of character and lovely shops, cafe's and pubs. The river runs right through and is a lovely place to go for a bite to eat - We want to go back with our Kayak!! People were all friendly and we will visit again!Standen - 10Scored 10
Plenty of history. From the Saxon walls around the town.
Plenty of history. From the Saxon walls around the town. Lawrence of Arabia's final years. Old churches and the rivers on the North and South of the town. Everyone should do there homework before visiting and if there during the third week of November there is "Court Leet" an historic ceremony held each year. Certainly "you tube" is a great tool to view before making the trip.

We had two evening meals which were both excellent, as were the breakfasts. The staff were, without exception really excellent - friendly and helpful and are a credit to the Bear. We`d definitely go again. Bonus was Bruce Crompton from "Combat Dealers" was also at the hotel - also attending "Tankfest" at nearby Bovington and he graciously allowed my friend to have his photo taken with him. - Great bloke!JonUnited Kingdom

The accommodation was very clean and on arrival parking was allocated and marked for me. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast, fresh coffee, scrambled eggs and full breakfast on the last day. The area around the accommodation has much to offer, walks in the woods or on the beach that are nor far away. Wareham offers good pubs/bars with a range of food on offer.

The studio was spacious, well equipped, and furnished to a high standard. The studio is only a short walk (20/25mins) along a country lane to the centre of Wareham.
