I really liked Swindon. I traveled by train.
I really liked Swindon. I traveled by train. Train was on time, it was clean, kept informed of where we were, easy to get tickets, all simple no probs. If you wanted to travel by bus it’s a stone throw away from the train station. A short walk to the city centre. Plenty of shops to spend your money in. Plenty of place to eat. I sat in cafe and had a jacket potato and a tea £10 bargin! All good. Would definitely return.Rose - 8.0Scored 8.0

We didn't have time to explore very much on a one night trip, but we were impressed with the cycle infrastructure and the variety of restaurants and pubs, though some areas of the town were a little run down and shady. The bigWe rode through Lydiard park and were very impressed with it as a nice destination. I used to live in Swindon and there are parts to avoid, ann the bottom of town isn't what it used to be, but for a great night out, there is Old Town. It had good shopping facilities. MacArthur Glenn outlet was good. Homesense too Swindon has too many terrible drivers, who drive too fast & too close. There need to be traffic calming measures & more traffic lights. Terrible, inconsiderate drivers can't be trusted to obey rules & use roundabouts properly.

I’ve always had a comfortable stay here, usually for a few hours overnight. Due to this, I don’t usually get a chance to explore the property or sample the menu. Reviews are quite mixed regarding the food fare so may eventually try it if back in the vicinity. This hotel has always provided a relatively pleasant stay.
