This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant exceptional, and catered very well with my dairy allergy.
The Priory is nestled within the historic town of Caerleon on the River Usk. Dating back to 1180, this hotel was originally a Cistercian monastery.

Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, fascinating building beautifully laid out and equipped. Service and food (breakfast) good. Thoughtful details and very high standard of furnishing, amenities and comfort in bedroom and bathroom. Everything working perfectly and very clean.
Would have loved to stay longer and now I know where it is I must find a reason to go back for a leisure stay.
Set within 2000 acres of parkland in the beautiful Usk Valley, this historic 19th-century manor house features original features such as wood-panelled walls and a sweeping wooden staircase.

Communication with the hosts was excellent, accommodating last minute changes, and keeping in contact just the right amount throughout the stay. Home was clean throughout and well equipped

Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double.
Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning.
The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

The hotel is reasonable, not expensive and has clean rooms with clean bedding and is accessible to the brewery. They do not serve food although the service station is next door you can purchase food from, the hotel sells coupons and has a choice of food.
No problem parking but mention your car number plate for free parking. Staff are helpful.

Everything was fine except an extra cost than the online quote when we booked in for my dogs, not previously disclosed, and an excessive amount of dog poo along the front of the hotel right under the windows

The view from the upper floor was lovely!
The view from the upper floor was lovely! Although the hotel is near an industrial facility it was not a problem at all!
The hotel is ideally suited to visit Chepstow and the lower reaches of the Wye valley. Also the lower reaches of the Severn. There are some delightful areas nearby (30’). Chepstow and Symonds Yat. We chose the hotel because it was cheaper than those in the towns which were exorbitant due to the ending of Covid hotel restrictions. We are so glad we did as the facilities were excellent! A car is a requirement!

A historical village with a traditional village square.
A historical village with a traditional village square. My grandmother was born in the pub there so we love to take her back to visit. Fantastic place to spend an afternoon. Golden Lion -food amazing!
The hotel is conveniently housed just outside Newport and close to M4 motorway. A helpful receptionist lady greeted me and who even offered to help with baggage to my first floor room. The room is very suitable for an overnight stay supplying a comfortable bed with a good working shower. My room was priced fairly and i would have no hesitation in booking again when i find myself in the Newport area.
The room was beautiful with lots of really nice extra touches. It was like staying in a luxury chalet, so much better than a hotel.
The breakfast was good quality, homemade bread and homemade butter, all Welsh products too.
Staff were very friendly and helpful too.
A well situated Days Inn with good service station facilities and the great little town of Magor close by. Great for staying near Cardiff or en route to the Welsh Borders. Housekeeping was excellent and decor in good repair. All very good value and very convenient.
The room was excellent and much bigger than I expected from a "budget" hotel. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.
Two meals in the adjacent restaurant were both very good. I had pizza one night and steak the second night. All in all a great experience.
The girl on checkin was super friendly and helpful while being under a lot of workload managing the hotel AND the services next door. The bed was really comfy and everything was clean, good coffee facilities too. Was excellent for the overnight stay I had
The room is very modern, clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The staff was amicable and helpful. The hotel is an excellent location with easy access to M4. I would recommend this hotel to everyone for both work and pleasure.
The hotel is very easy to find, with a large car park. There is a very good restaurant across the road that I would suggest (ask at the reception).
The bedroom was large and with a shower which I prefer rather than a bathtub.
Hotel was lovely, staff were polite we had dinner at the bar and grill, staff then booked us a taxi to head Into newport.showers were amazing...overall a great hotel at a great price
