A beautiful Dorset resort.
A beautiful Dorset resort. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Some lovely walks and great beaches. I would recommend it to anyone. Harbour inn for Sunday lunch, Millside restaurant for an evening meal. You need need to book in advance to prevent disappointment. Plenty of Bars on the sea front, places to eat and drink and ice cream shops. Watch out for the always hungry seagulls.Wollacott - 10Scored 10
Lyme Regis was a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic...
Lyme Regis was a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic coast. The town is clean and well kept. There is a good selection of shops and a couple of small supermarkets but also independent bakers. The museum is worth a visit and the micro brewery. The staff in hotels, shops and restaurants are so friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do in and around the town which boasts an excellent beach and nice walks. It is easy to catch a bus east or west. Lyme Regis has a lovely atmosphere with families and dogs milling around happily. We were lucky to have good weather 9 days out of 10! All in all it exceeded our expectations!

People very friendly and helpful. Car parking is not great and you can only stay for a max of 3 hrs, no return for 4hrs in ncp in the town. Park and ride was closed! Car parks further out if you don't mind a walk. Found a great pub, The Ship Inn on our way from car park, had lunch and returned for dinner!

Fantastic out of season in season very expensive car parking is just about impossible Purchase fish and chips by the COB batter on the fish dark and the chips also dark ( Old cooking Oil ) upset tummy the next day x3, not food poisoning but close Buy three pasties in Charmouth and had to return them Pastry very hard and filling dry and hard not recommended even the seagulls turned away from themArthurAustralia - 10Scored 10

The weather was fantastic and it had lasted I would definitely wanted to stay longer. It was torrential rain the day we left!! It was perfect for a relaxing couple of days, a bit too busy but it was the first weekend of warm weather this year!! There are lovely independent shops, the is only a coop and Tesco extra, so food quite basic, there are some lovely cafes for lunches, It is on a hill so you have to be able to manage a small hill, the beach and walk along the beach front is flat, there are good ice cream stalls, I think it would be very busy in summer, we found a few fossils to take home, Monmouth beach is rocky but has some lovely fossils in large rocks to see and the amonite pavementSarahUnited Kingdom

The dining/breakfast room now has glass doors looking out over the garden and we enjoyed our delicious breakfast every sitting in that bright room with it's seaside views. A few things might have made our stay even more pleasant, like soap at the bathroom sink to wash hands and washcloths, but we were delighted with our room. I say this with caution as it may affect our ability to book it in the future!! The tea, coffee and associated supplies were a really nice touch. We certainly hope to stay again.

Perfect for anybody wishing to be right in the heart of Lyme Regis, right on the shore. The room was well appointed and nicely decorated. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and made our stay all the better. And the breakfast was excellent!
