Little studio with everything we needed, clean and very comfortable beds. Heating came on in the evening which was very thoughtful of the keeper as we needed it. Overall we have had a fab time. Wifi might need a bit improving though.

Wonderful meal in the restaurant. Lovely local beer on tap. Friendly welcoming staff. Our accommodation was compact but had everything we needed including free tea and coffee with fresh milk if we wanted it. Dog friendly for our chocolate lab who had a great time. We would definitely stay again.

On a road trip through Devon and Cornwall to see gardens and historic homes, we found the grounds and the common rooms of the hotel to be lovely. Keep in mind - those are free to see and do not require an expensive stay. A few glitches during the stay were later written to the hotel management who took the time to respond with apologies for the concerns and used those to help prepare for future guests. I would suggest taking the time to look at the website for room choices and consider booking directly with the hotel where staff can answer questions on costs, accommodations and expectations.
