I recently stayed at this lovely hotel in the Cotswolds for two nights while visiting friends. I had a really enjoyable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable and clean, and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was lovely, and the location was brilliant. All in all, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was just lovely. Called in advance for an early check in as we were travelling from afar and attending a wedding, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating - we called en-route at short notice and they diverted the chamber maid so the could get our room ready. Bead was comfy, room was lovely (Sherbourne), breakfast was scrumptious.

Location is excellent, breakfast is very good. Staffs are very good. Parking is OK. Will rebook in due course.
Btw, had a hiccup with booking.com when book this hotel as I was double charged. Nothing to do with Chestnut though.

This area is so heavily burdened by tourists that I felt bad for contributing to the problem. It is picturesque and the people are lovely. If you are visiting, I hope you will have the manners to consider where you put your trash and to not obstruct other people when you are trying to get your 1000 pics for social media.

Bourton on the Water, is a beautiful country town but a nightmare on a bank holiday….too busy. The locals were not very welcoming and a little curt when speaking to you except for Venezia - the staff and family were very welcoming and the food was delicious. So too was The Willow. Staff were super friendly and food was good. The rest of the local community are quite rude, maybe they were exhausted from the Bank holiday weekend? Bourton on the Water is picturesque and very well worth a visit. It was lovely to sit along the river and people watch.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

Food options are varied, good old English, Italian, fine dining and tapas. The village is beautiful with many old properties that are well maintained. Pubs are oldy worldly and very busy at weekends. Plenty of good coffee shops. Paid Parking is available at either end of the village if staying over 1 hour so no problem parking. Village parking is restricted. Walking options are all around and many locals are happy to oblige if you need directions.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. It felt homely with very helpful staff. The breakfast was superb - as good as a very lovely hotel in London I stayed in recently! A lovely fruit salad, scrambled egg, smoked salmon and toast that hadn't gone soggy by the time it was served. Excellent. A full English was had by the rest of the family and they said that was good too. The location is perfect - a few minutes from Bourton on the water town centre.
Booking process easy. I Requested a bottle of Prosecco on ice as the stay was for our wedding anniversary and it was in our room waiting for our arrival. I emailed requesting a table in the restaurant that evening and the reply came through within the hour. All of the staff were lovely and the room was fabulous. It was lovely and quiet and central to the rest of the village.Thank you Chester House Hotel for making our stay so special.
Room is nice and cozy. Bad is very soft and comfortable, we have a good sleep after long drive from London. Facilities in the room were amazing, they have all branded stuffs for guest. Bath room is luxury with those lotion and toiletaries. Bath tub is classice. We have 2 meals with them and its remarkable. Lastly, hotel staffs is really friendly and service minded, great job. We love the set up pretty much.
The Inn is charming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Alex and Honey went above and beyond by delivering our luggage to us at our next hotel since the Mousetrap Inn was booked so we couldn't extend our stay, and we didn't have a car. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and served with a smile and a chat. It felt like home away from home because they were so friendly.
Excellent breakfast, short distance to local restaurants and Bourton on the Water centre, ideal location for discovering the Cotswolds, cleanliness of the whole of the Hotel the friendliness and support of the owners. The access to a well laid out garden where you could bush out in the open air after a days touring the area.
Excellent central location for both Bourton on the Water and the Cotswolds with the cottage well equipped, clean and with everything for a comfortable stay provided and included. The kitchen has everything needed with the the washing machine and drier in the laundry room along with good WiFi and tv system a welcome bonus.
Beautifully decorated interior with complementary finishing touches. The hotel is family run with a real homely feel. The hotel runs a sister restaurant, we went for breakfast and it was the best meal of our trip! The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to all of Bourton-on-the-water's main attractions!
The perfect location in beautiful Bourton on the Water.
A charming Hotel full of history and character. The
room was nice and comfortable, although a bit on the small side, it was fine for a few days stay. All the staff were really nice and most helpful. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The Lansdowne is a wonderful quaint, elegant, well-appointed inn. The staff and proprietors were friendly and helpful. Out the front door of the hotel, everything in the town was walkable and easily reached. The breakfast was delicious and I especially appreciated healthy options.
