The walks in this part of the country are stunning as are the beaches if you get the weather! And there's never a shortage of good places to eat. If you have a furry friend, the majority of the shops and restaurants are pet friendly.

Anstruther is a lovely and lively little town in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. It has a very picturesque harbour, good eating places, including the wonderful and award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, a number of interesting shops and a well-stocked Co-op. It is within easy reach of other lovely little East Neuk towns/villages, including St Monans, Pittenweem and Crail, and the university town of St Andrews, which is a must for visitors to the area. The RNLI shop at Anstruther harbour has a really good selection of little presents to take home to loved ones, including the iconic yellow wellies for little feet!

Anstruther is a beautiful town, but can be very busy in summer months.
Great for a walking holiday along Fife coastal path but it is not mobility scooter friendly with narrow pavements and no dropped kerbs.
Great selection of fish and chip shops and small cafes.

The cottage was in a great position for a view of Anstruther and a 5min drive to the seaside front was ideal.
Anstruther is a great fishing village, with plenty of cafes and restaurants for all needs, with easy access and parking along the front, with a 5min drive either way to other quaint fishing villages.
Haddock & chips was perfect. ;)
Location was steps from the harbor and a variety of food options. 10-15 minute walk to the grocery. Excellent location for walking the coastal path. Thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated and had everything we could need. Extremely comfortable beds, pillows and living/dining furniture. Great kitchen for people who would rather eat in. Plus Fiona is lovely to work with and communicates well. Very easy check in process. Would definitely stay again and be happy to recommend this home to others. Glad The Bank was booked up!
The property was very clean and well appointed. Everything you could have needed was available. Beds were very comfortable. The property is situated at the point where Anstruther meets Cellardyke and is an easy stroll to both. It’s in a private little courtyard with off-road parking as a bonus. The Fife coastal path is easily accessible to Crail in one direction and to Pittenweem in the other. Both easy walks for the novice. Bus stop nearby in both directions if you want to go further afield without the car.
A cosy, accommodating hostel, in an old building brimming w/personality! Excellently located. Woke up to the sound of waves slowly crashing up against the shore. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, the toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the hostel itself was inviting, charming, and wonderful. Darius was friendly, prompt, and professional. My stay in Anstruther was excellent thanks to the lovely Murray Library Hostel :-)
Close to the harbour in Anstruther, spacious and well-equipped, and the outside seating area is a bonus (if it isn’t raining). The house has lots of children’s books and games, which we didn’t use but would be great for a family with younger children. The kitchen was well-equipped and the TV and Wi-Fi worked very well. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the showers worked well. The Dreel Tavern across the road is a great location for dinner.
I rate this B&B very highly. One's comfortable bedroom looks out to the sea, and there is a sitting room for guests with a wonderful balcony which looks out to the sea, too. Breakfast included fresh fruit and breads and anything else in a Scottish breakfast one would want. Restaurants and shops in Anstruther are within walking distance, (no more than a half-mile), as are bus stops. The hosts are warm and friendly and fun to chat with.
The Location and view were fabulous. I loved our room, bed, bathroom and of course the views of the harbor from our bed.
It is above the restaurant, which is convenient but a little noisy, but the restaurant and street became very quiet about 10pm. This was my favorite of out of the seven places we stayed during our road-trip. I wish we had a few more days to stay in Anstruther, so much to see and do and a lovely place to stay.
The owner hosts, Mark and Jennifer, have created a wonderful B&B in Anstruther. The home is elegant, beautifully maintained and appointed, and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy. Our room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable. Mark and Jennifer did everything possible to ensure a wonderful stay.
No breakfast and the price for breakfast was too dear that was taking the price for hotel up stay in the bay hotel anstruther the night before and that was only 10 pounds dearer and a far better hotel with everything you needed don't get me wrong the room was clean and bathroom lovely but the rest was very basic
We had a wonderful time at the neuk, this place was perfect for our holiday, the flat was gorgeous and very clean! It was perfect for my grandpa aswell who is disabled , we were able to get his mobility in and out easy and just a 2 minute walk to anstruther waterfront which was great! We can’t wait to come back
Nice cosy room. A very good shower in the shower-room. Excellent central location. Free parking in nearby car park. Free parking until 8am just outside the hotel (limited number of spaces). The Fisheries Museum in Anstruther is big, and well worth visiting!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this hotel. It is in an ideal spot with sea views and central to Crail amenities. Dinners and breakfasts were excellent. We will be back. Room was exceptional.
clean and friendly, better than any hotel nearby.
the bed was extremely comfortable and the view from our room was right out to the open ocean. spacious kitchen fully stocked with anything you might need.
it was very high end in terms of linens bathroom facilities a nice garden and 5 minutes away. from Anstruther the.breakfast was outstanding and the owner very obliging and excellent attitude
