Mostly the location was great, hotel was nice for the age of the building, no real complaints. Staff was friendly especially Max. I had mentioned that I used to live in Augsburg and there was a special beer I was looking to find in one the sidewalk cafe's but the cafe had closed and I couldn't find a bar that served the beer. Max overheard me talking about that and spent a good half hour looking for bars on a local map that served my "favorite" beir. Thank you Max...

Hotel is an older, traditional style building but of a high standard typical of Germany. Very nice spacious room with all the usual amenities. Roland on reception was very helpful and recommended a local restaurant which turned out to be excellent. We went there both nights. Location is on the edge of the centre so easy to reach by car and the hotel has free parking. A short walk away is a tram stop for a free trip into the centre. It is also conveniently located close to the train station if you arrive by train. Excellent buffet breakfast with decaf coffee available which is not usual in Germany yet.
