after i booked the room i read reviews that were very negative so i was worried but when i got there and saw the property for myself it was beautiful the staff was very friendly the security was awesome there are 2 security check points one off the main street when you turn in to the property and one at the gate i loved that specially since i was travelling with my wife and kids the villa was beautiful remodeled and when you go out to your balcony the beach is right there!! and i loved that they even roped off the beach i felt very safe and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and newly remodeled the pool and jacuzzi are old and the water was a bit dirty but they were remodeling that area when we were there i dont like how they charge 600.00 deposit at check in it took my bank 5 days to return the funds back to my account but i understand why that security deposit is so high being in rosarito and you get alot of 18 year olds that go there to get drunk and party alot of them cant afford to pay a 600.00 security deposit which is good for travelers like us that are travelling with our families that just want to come out to relax and eat good food

Rosarito is a nice quaint resort town, it has a lot of old world charm to it, it is between Tijuana and Ensenada. it is the perfect place to get out of the city of Tijuana and hit the beach and the nice drive on the highway to Ensenada. You can eat the same food in Rosarito that you would get in Ensenada. Stay out of the sports bars if you dont want to see the ugly Americans with their loud boisterous screaming for their famous loser football, basketball or baseball teams! here is a hint, when you see the locals eating at a local taco stand with friends and family they dont want screaming crazy drunk americans ruining quiet time with family and friends, respect the locals and the owner of the business, leave a good tip of 50-70 pesos 5-6 dollars to the waiters or waitresses and they will treat you right and appreciate it. dont be drunk and stupid along the streets, FAFO does not work in your favor, the local thugs will take advantage of you and leave you in an alley to fend for yourself or remove a kidney or two from your person. Stay away from the bars, dont hit on the sexy waitresses they have very jealous friends! dont walk around after 10pm anywhere! Dont flash your cash or fancy watches or jewelry!

I have been coming to Rosarito since I was a young girl and it really hasn't changed all that much. Park at the Rosarito beach hotel and get a margarita that comes with validated parking. Then go across the street for an al pastor taco at El Norteno. There is so much to see, so much delicious food, so many bars.
No Uber, but local taxis are cheap and most of Rosarito is walkable. For elegance, dine at Chabert's French resto in the hotel, and for a rockin' Bloody Maria the next day, hit Acua. Steer clear of tourist traps like El Nido, but head south for a view of the magnificent Devil's House.

Rosarito beach hotel is a nice historic hotel.
Rosarito beach hotel is a nice historic hotel. A beautiful setting.
The rooms could use an update especially the ones in the old part of the hotel. The tv sets are very small for the size of the rooms and it would be nice if they offered a safe for your valuables and a coffee pot would be nice as well.

Everything was great!
Everything was great! The only challenge we had was finding the place. GPS takes you to the street behind. Be mindful that you will have to turn down the dirt road next to the police station to access the building.

No need to stay her for more than a couple nights thst way you get a full day to anything there is. There is horse back riding for kids and groups on the beach. Other than that there is just a board walk of shops and drinking. A good stop to stay at since there really aren’t hotels in puerto nuevo
This is the second time we book at this location. We LOVE IT (my family of 5). Beachfront condo, all you have to do is go down some rocks and you are at the beach. The host is EXCELLENT. Very attentive, and so is the staff (there is a security team that works 24-7). Restaurants, markets, etc are super close. We drive everywhere and it is a 5-7 minute distance. I will be back, but this time with my mom and sister. You also have a secure parking in the building.
When I checked in they hotel lobby was demanding I show them my bank statement to prove I paid for the hotel visit. Who carries their bank statements across borders in hopes to prove you purchased anything. Very rude and how adamant there were with insisting I prove my purchase even though I made reservations through Booking.com and Las Rocas claimed they never received notice from Booking.com on the reservation.
Wanted a getaway close to home and have never visited Las Rocas. Lovely outdoor pools and hot tubs, one infinity overlooking the ocean. Beautiful grounds, good food, great free Amercan brekkie. Brought Fiona, the little one-eyed service dog and everyone doted on her. Nice kingsized bed, big shower, shampoo and soap provided. All in all, we were very happy on our little ground floor private patio.
Our rooms were spacious, bright and airy. Hector offered a portable AC but I found the ceiling fans adequate especially at night. Surprisingly I had to use a blanket even in July.
The facilities were homey and the property was fenced and locked and my car was secured within the fence. Hector was friendly, accommodating and kind. I felt very safe. I hope to book here again.
The rooms are very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. I had an amazing weekend it’s about a 10 min walk to the beach, they have an Oxxo nearby there’s a restaurant right across the street from the hotel. Everything that you need is close by this hotel.
I loved it!! The View was incredible. It had two pools and two hot tubs. It was awesome to wake up in the morning and be able to go for a nice little walk down to the beach. It was not too far from all the Rosarito fun. The host was very kind and would communicate back in time.
Horrible! Old, damp, smelly. Mold in restroom & old toilet seat. Bed bugs on both beds. I checked out same night. I informed staff & they just agreed about bugs. I will never use booking.com. I can’t get ahold of anyone for refund. No stars for hotel or booking. Com.
Hotel. Is nice However. There missing lots af amenities for the room into chairs. Tv very small and difficult to operate. Outlet side no stand to place phone charger. Towels only two per room no hand towels or floor mat for the shower.
There was no WIFI in rooms UNLESS you paid $60 a night more. That was a real surprise and not a good one. We couldn't stay there without wifi so we were forced to pay it. NOT HAPPY about that. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.
1. The owner - was friendly, helpful and provided all required assistance.
2. Location is near the beach, in downtown.
3. Very quiet place, high level of comfort.
