I really like the location. From the ferry station, it's a short walk and then a short climb up the stairs. The room was very clean. Staff were really nice.

We had a very bad experience at Como lake. because the employees in the ferry company went on a strike at 12 noon until 5 PM, and we were stranded on our first stop ( Varrena). All the private boats and water taxis refused to transfer anybody. So we had to take a taxi to return back to our hotel in Bellagio which took almost 90 minutes to reach while its not more than a 15 minutes ride by the ferry. So unfortunately these employees have spoiled our one day vacation to Como, because they could have informed us about the intended strike before we bought our circulation ticket, we could have changed our plans.

Bellagio is such a cute town.
Bellagio is such a cute town. I recommend staying there just for a day and then visiting the other small towns around it with the ferry. It is quite expensive compared to other cities but the landscapes and views are worth it.

Bellagio was by far the best village/town to stay in on Lake Como. Shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes were excellent. The streets were fantastic, and very photographic. Ferries were easy to catch to other parts of the lake. Sitting outside the Sports cafe bar near the church as a daily ritual to sip caffe or a Aperol Spritz.

Bellagio has the perfect location in Lake Como in order to visit other places around the lake. It is very picturesque and unique. It is much better than Como to stay during your trip since it's not a big town but rather a very beautiful village. The only problem is the road leading there, which is rather narrow, but this is the case for the whole of Lake Como. The alternative is moving around by boat.

The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great.
The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great. The lanes are mostly steep climbs so be fit or stop in a bar half way! Just out of town is the Alle Darsene di Loppia, very good restaurant.
Cars are generally excluded from the town centre so if you have your own car you need to make sure you can get to your accommodation. And if you have a car you need to be bold when driving, because the local Italians can fit a car through a tiny gap, at high speed, and you must do the same to get anywhere. Trust them and enjoy the ride!
The ferry trips around Lake Como were great - you can explore a lot of beautiful old towns from the ferry.

We loved Bellagio!
We loved Bellagio! we also spent a day in Varenna (via ferry) - quieter, but just as charming. Take the tour of the Melza Villa there (the interior plus gardens). Note that for all of the Villa tours, all accessible by public ferry, order your tickets well in advance because day of they will all be sold out. Bellagio and Varenna are similar in that both are built into the side of an Alp, and the "cross streets" all require navigating a hundred or more stairs. Folks who live there don't seem to notice, but in the hot sun we were sure stopping every ten stairs to rest. We just randomly picked "cute" restaurants and enjoyed every one.
The host was friendly, accessible and helpful. The location was excellent, right in the centre of old town Bellagio. It was near the ferry terminal which allowed us to easily visit other towns and locations on Lake Como. There was a good view of the lake and surrounding mountains in this very picturesque setting. A wide choice of restaurants and bars was within metres of the front door. Shops providing the basics were also very close with convenient opening hours. The apartment was very clean on arrival.
Everything about our stay was amazing. The house is a lovely piece of history hidden away in the mountains of Lake Como, but still close enough to the lake and the village of Bellagio. You can be sure you will feel at peace in this rural but welcoming area. Our host Klod was amazing, and super communicative, always ready to help, and gave us some very nice recommendations of places to go in Bellagio. Would definitely come back and stay in the same place and recommend to all.
Beautiful view overlooking Lake Como, clean & quiet grounds and the full free buffet breakfast prepared by Luigi with homemade pastries, desserts, fresh fruits and wide range of omelettes, etc was fantastic. Luigi also made recommendations and reservations for lunch & dinner for our group of 6 couples. Mary at the front desk was very helpful in providing suggestions for things to do and how to get around locally by foot and regionally by ferry. Very helpful staff.
The apartment was beautifully located up on the hill overseeing the lake Como. 10 minutes away from bellagio central and 5 mins to the supermarket and to nearby beach by car. I enjoyed my mornings looking at sunrise from the apartment. The apartment was also huge, can easily fit 4-6 people. The host was lovely, oriented us to town and gave very helpful tips, was very easy to reach to. Hassle free check in and check out too.
Luisa's House Bellagio was such a wonderful time and location in the heart of Lake Como! Gaia was kind enough to meet us at the door and exchange the keys after a long day of travel. Her restaurant recommendation was amazing the food was delicious and the lift their was even better!! I will definitely be recommending Luisa's House to all my friends and family when visiting Lake Como.
Everything! But most importantly, the view from the room and the hotel in general. I could literally see Lake Como and the surrounding from my bed! 😍 I was travelling solo but the room was big enough to fit at least 3 people. Breakfast was served in the restqurant with beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. The food was great and the staff were super nice.
Hotel Belvedere is an absolutely beautiful hotel. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a beautiful room with two balconies looking out over Lake Como and the mountain - it was breathtaking! The pool area was beautiful and the spa had just opened the weekend we stayed and that was also lovely to relax in. The staff were so welcoming and all were very friendly!
Perfect location with stunning view from the balcony. Parking is very near the apartment if you arrive by car. Clean, spacious, and secure. Netflix and wifi worked well. Kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of towels and bathroom toiletries. Bellagio is worth the visit and is a good base for the other sites to see in this part of Lake Como.
Kicca was an amazing host of a very beautiful property! We were on a tour of Italy and it was the most comfortable and best home we stayed at. The room was a good size, the views were unparalleled, the gardens were perfect and the location was great - just a little outside of Bellagio with a couple of restaurants and bars on your doorstep.
The view from the hotel is outstanding. It might be the best view on bellagio and lake como there is.
The hotel staff was extraordinary kind and warm hearted.
The owner of the hotel picked us up at the ferryport of bellagio and drove us to the hotel.
The breakfast was exceptionally good and already included in the price.
The service was exceptional!! We stayed in a few different spots during our Italy trip and this was by far our favourite. The staff were super accommodating and so kind! We were so impressed and couldn’t stop raving to our friends and they’ve booked their Como stay at Belvedere as well. We can’t wait to come back!
This was the most amazing property to stay in. Extraordinarily serene, peaceful and beautiful by such a quiet part of Lake Como.
The local walking through the hamlets as well as the longer hikes into the hills above Bellagio will long be remembered. We did not want to leave Pescalo Apartments-simply Paradise!
Charming Bellagio is a beautiful boutique hotel in Bellagio, Lake Como, Italy. Jasmine (the owner) was wonderful to work with, helpful and welcoming. It has a great pool and areas to relax. It is out of the touristy area so is quiet yet close enough to walk wherever you need to go.
The house is new, very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of outdoor seating. The views of Lake Como were outstanding. It was a few steps to the lake for a swim and a 10 minute walk into Bellagio town. Angela was very welcoming and kindly collected us from the ferry.
Villa Primula is a beautiful villa on a hilltop position with fantastic views overlooking Lake Como and Bellagio.
Noris is such a welcoming and helpful host.
If we were to return to Bellagio, this would definitely be our first choice for accommodation.
Lovely and helpful staff, including the dog! Location is ten minutes walk from the centre, very quiet and safe location. I will definitely come back to Hotel Fioroni next time I am around Lake Como.
Couldn't be in a better location. Right next to the ferry and above several restaurants. Couldn't ask for a better spot to explore Lake Como. Great view and spacious.
