Extremely nice experience at Kinosaki Onsen Hanakouji Saigetsu. (We only stay a night without breakfast/dinner) Staff are extremely nice! I will say it looks like a family experience with high manners. It was lovely and I will come back here without any doubt if I want to go back to Kinosaki. Can only recommend !

Absolutely loved the location, it is a little further from kinosaki onsen but the town n onsens usually shut down by 9pm so this works out well. The hosts are also very very helpful. They drop you off and pick you up from the onsen area and the metro station.

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Most dedicated personnel in all of Japan -and this is my 6th visit to the country. Amazing reception procedure -they will take you to take a short tea ceremony while they prepare your room and bring your luggage upstairs. I got to pick a cute yukata for myself (female) and the ladies helped me put it on to stroll around. The owner took pleeeenty of pictures of us in different places and poses and went out of his way to recommend some restaurants for dinner, as well as to bring our luggage to the station when we left. And, last but not least, the two rooms were big and spacious and had a private toilet each, and they even closed the building’s onsen for us!

Located in the quiet areas of Kinosaki hot-spring district, Sensui offers Japanese-style accommodations and 3 private reservable hot-spring baths. Guests can enjoy the various hot-spring baths of the area. A free shuttle is available from JR Kinosaki Onsen Train Station, which is also a 5-minute walk away.

Sensui Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Genbudo Park and a 15-minute drive from Kinosaki Marine World.

The staffs treat us guests like the king and queen, especially Ayuri. The hotel interior is lovely, the reception area feels very modern, but once we step into our Japanese style room, we instantly feels like we were thrown back to the past. They have 3 onsen rooms and they’re all have different vibes. The Tajima beef dinner and also the crabs dinner was amazing with 10 course! Breakfast also very thoughtful!

Guests at Onishiya Suisyouen Ryokan can experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds and tatami (woven-straw) flooring, or enjoy a Western-style room. Japanese-style rooms include a tea maker, private bathroom and a satellite TV. All rooms have air conditioning.

We loved the food, our large bedroom with futon, relaxing music everywhere , public bath with sauna, and the kind staff.. we were on our honeymoon and they put a lot of care on us (they gifted us also with a little wine bootle). The japanese garden with fishes inside the hotel is really nice.

Boasting a 160-year history and a beautiful garden, Nishimuraya Honkan offers hot-spring baths and Japanese rooms just 1 km from Kinosaki-Onsen Train Station. A gallery with traditional artwork is featured.

Rooms at Nishimuraya Honkan Ryokan have traditional futon bedding and tatami (woven-straw) floors. Each is air-conditioned and comes with a tea maker, flat-screen TV and private bathroom.

We knew this was going to be a great hotel to stay at. But it definitely blew way past our expectations. The dinner(s) and breakfast(s) (Japanese style) were some of the best food we’ve eaten in Japan AND I’d even go as far as most of what we’re used to in our day to day life. They also have a magnificent garden that you can stroll in. The onsen inside the hotel was just perfect as well. A tad warm but that’s what’s expected. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind and most of their staff could speak great English. I had the impression the hotel radiated the best of what Japan has to offer. Respect, kindness, helpfulness.

The rental yukatas and hantens were the most stylish and unique compared to what guests at other ryokans were wearing. Location is excellent, close to train station and main street and onsens. Staff gave us an onsen pass for the 7 onsens in town. We also got a private booking at the bath in house. Staff provided an orientation to town and also provided excellent hospitality, including amazing food service. Rooms were traditional and a little old but comfortable and the bathroom had a Toto.

Lovely authentic ryokan in hot spring town. The owner is very welcoming and hospitable. The ryokan is comfortable for a big family and the private onsen is great. Perfectly located in the centre of town to walk to all the public onsens with one being next door. Meals were huge and well prepared. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially for helping with yakata and kimono dressing. A must place to visit, we will definitely be coming back here to stay again.

While not a typical ryokan, the location and price are very nice for Kinosaki. The room is very barebones, but the bed itself is comfy. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is nice. The room is quiet, and tucked away from the cafe / street below. You can rent a yukata for free, and they supply you with a rental towel and hand towel for the onsens. If you are planning on just going to any number of the seven public onsens, this is an affordable choice,

A fantastic 3-storey Ryokan in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen. Our room came with yukatas to wear outside and they also provided traditional wood sandals (and rubber boots in case of rain), and umbrellas. It was the perfect place to unwind. The location of this ryokan was perfect to explore all the onsens as it is in the heart of the city, walking distance to the train station. At check-in, the friendly staff got us our onsen pass and recommendations for what to start with. They were absolutely sweet and carjng. The ryokan is old, but that makes its authenticity. The room had everything to make us comfortable, yukata to dress, and traditional japanese shoes to try. We loved our stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Dinner and breakfast was served in our room and each item described to us as they were laid out. Our futons were laid out and packed away by staff. The whole ryokan was kept immaculate and we heard no noise at all. Geta, yukata, umbrellas and baskets were provided for going to and from onsens. An onsen pass was also provided from check in to 3pm on the day of check out. We were allowed to keep our towels until this point and our luggage was held after check out.

It’s a stunning traditional style Ryokan with tatami floors in the bedrooms. Having the option to have a bed or a futon is nice, although I think a futon is actually comfier! Only 2 minutes from the train station and a stones throw from great coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets. They allow you to book the private onsen for just under an hour, which allows mixed sex couples to enjoy it together, unlike the public onsens.
