Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Hotel was located above a shopping mall with nice shops and restaurants, room was clean and comfortable, open public onsen with fantastic views, staffs are friendly and helpful, six months ago we stayed at the same hotel when we visited Oita.
Only about a 15 minute walk from Oita station and downtown, this was a good little hotel. The room was small but good enough for one person and very comfortable. The staff on check-in were really friendly and helpful. The hotel also had an associated onsen down the road, however I wasn't able to make use of this during my stay.
The hotel is right next to the train station. And it has free ice cream and noodles in the evening! The onsen is open all night, so you can have a nice soak after dinner. The ros are large enough for luggage, and the shower is a nice size.
