Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The reception is very friendly and fluent in English. The location is a bit away from the concentrated activities area. Also meaning that it is quiet at night. The space of the room is superb and provided the option to sleep on floor (tatami) with futon if the bed is doesn't suit the need. Very clean with washing machine in the room. The washing machine doesn't come with dryer, but the clothes can be hanged in the bathroom that they will dry up in around 2 hours.
The futon has an additional layer of padding so it was comfortable to sleep on. The room was warm enough in Feb with the ac heater turned on. The owners were kind and very friendly. They even let us use the gym next door for an hour. Free parking!
Very impressive outdoor onsen for ladies, enjoyed a lot when it was snowing. Clean and tidy, spacious room. Thank you for helping to remove the snow on the car.
Lovely ryokan stay for our family. The owner is/was a chef and made a delicious dinner ( booked in advance) and breakfast too. Parking was right there. Very friendly and welcoming
