The room, is very clean and spacious. Onsen was excellent The hotel is huge. Even though it ran at full occupancy, we see very few people at the lobby and onsen including the dining areas.. We had the half board. The kisekii dinner and breakfast was good. Staff are so friendly and helpful., always serve with a smile.
We so love the lounge. Great selection of music. Top it up, comes with complimentary drinks. Was super relaxing.. We really enjoyed it.
I highly recommend this hotel.

FAQ about ryokans in Jozankei
On average, a ryokan in Jozankei costs £406 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
The location was great and the view was amazing. There is an onsen on the top of the building and laundry facilities. I liked the tatami sleeping room especially.
Liked everything about this ryokan - from traditional Japanese room setting to the onsen, kaiseki dinner and breakfast spread. Most of all, the top notched service provided.
All the little details - greeting at the door, personalised checkin in our room with drinks and snacks. Staff were lovely. Stocked mini bar. Complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge. The Kaiseki style breakfast in private dining area was amazing. Plus an indoor and outdoor private onsen in the room. The accommodation was very elegant and had a boutique luxury vibe. Loved the decor and the chairs in the tatami area were really comfy and sturdy. We'd stay again.
Even though a tad expansive, the staff was just marvellous to provide the best (I guess you’re paying for that)
Yukatas are available for the guests, so cool for foreigners to wear them
The onsen is great also
Lastly we got a wonderful gift to our kids before leaving which made the experience even more wonderful
Booked a room with 4 beds and a tatami for 2. Spacious room, nice buffet dinner and breakfast. Onsen facility is good. Free shuttle bus must be booked 2-3 months a head as always fully booked. Easy to take public bus (790Y) from JR Sapporo but the bus is always full. Stood in the bus for 90 minutes. Half way from Sapporo is Fu Snow resort, can get down for a half day ski on your way back to Sapporo. Connected to sister hotel, female sharing sister hotel onsen.
This hotel really exceeded my expectations. It was a little bit old, but the room was warm, large, and had an excellent view. The hotel staff will make the futon beds for you and the futon beds are very comfortable here. The onsen facilities are nice, as well as the outdoor foot bath. Theres also plenty to do here. I regret not bringing my swimmers, because they have a pool here. There are even karaoke rooms you can rent.
Great location, and plenty of variety at breakfast as well.
Absolute peace and tranquility. Our room was so comfortable and had such a lovely private view to the trees outside.
The private onsen was simply amazing and so good!
I loved wearing the yukatas. Very comfortable.
Everything about this hotel is great. We enjoyed the onsen which has an open air hot spring pool and other pools. The buffet breakfast and dinner were wonderful with lots of options and were delicious. The location is walking distance to the parks and water-bath garden. The park was illuminated at night during this autumn. So beautiful! Well worth the money and highly recommended.
