We loved the place. Joana was very nice and helpful, she gave us many suggestions about places we could visit and have a nice chat with us. Everything was clean and tidy. Our 3-day stay in Manteigas was greatly enhanced by staying at SerraVale. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was ample and delicious. As others have emphasized, Elsa, the host, went out of her way to make us feel welcome. In addition to excellent restaurant recommendations, she gave us great advice on hiking. When we made a wrong turn on one of our hikes and ended up far from our car, we contacted her by WhatsApp and she immediately arranged for a taxi to pick us up and return us to our car. We strongly recommend SerraVale.

Located in Seia, Chao do Rio - Turismo de Aldeia features rustic homes, as well as an outdoor biologic swimming pool and free bicycles. The traditional stone-built units are inserted in natural surroundings which include a garden and a flock of sheep. Everything! The place is idyllic and beautiful, perfect for switching off. The staff were beyond helpful and always trying to make sure our expectations and requests were addressed and surpassed. The house had all the facilities to warrant the cosiest of stays. Perfect breakfast.

Lovely smell throughout the whole house. Very accommodating with regards to our bikes.
