The farm has been in the same family since the middle ages and the main room in the house dates to the early 1600s. The house is filled with antiques from the family and could be a museum all by itself. Breakfast was outstanding, plentiful, and served in the oldest and most beautiful room in the house, with a fire burning in the hearth and candles lit on the old tables. Sigrunn is a wonderfully knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming hostess. The bedroom was spacious and comes with its own bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen.
Rødberg
Nestled in the Numedal Valley, 4 km from the village of Rødberg, this historic family-owned farm offers accommodation in carefully restored 17th and 18th Century buildings. The collection of traditional farm buildings consists of guest rooms and private cottages with rustic interiors. All accommodations at Sevletunet B&B and Cabins have private bathroom facilities and underfloor heating. Cabins have a choice of self-catering. Our favourite accommodation out of 6 we stayed in. So much history in your actual room as well as through the window and in the dining room. Absolutely ancient but exceptionally clean and comfortable. We arrived before check in but hosts were happy for kids to kick a ball around in the garden, and dance on the deck. They kindly made up an extra bed as we had completed the booking form incorrectly. Not many dining options nearby so we went to supermarket 20 mins up the road and then had a picnic sitting on benches outside all the medieval buildings, watching the birds and soaking up the atmosphere, before the kids went off to the swings and entertained themselves. We had the whole place to ourselves until later in the evening. This was my favourite evening of our whole holiday. Other guests arrived later and more on our second day. Everyone was very friendly and we enjoyed the company. Our first morning was rainy so after breakfast of bread and home made wood oven rolls with delicious dandelion honey and homemade marmalade we settled down to hear the family history. It was interesting and really brought the buildings to life. The wardrobe in our bedroom was from 1658 (or similar - can’t exactly remember now). Then we were allowed to go inside the store house on stilts that we had a view of from Our bedroom. Unbelievable!!! We even went upstairs. Fascinating, so old and we had full access. Amazing- even the kids were really impressed and awed by the experience. We booked dinner for the second night and had very enjoyable plate of potato salad (maybe with slight curry powder?) cold meats and cold scrambled egg. Portions plenty big enough with local thin bread. We had a great day at the Draisine in Veggli and enjoyed the cosy evening playing card games while the newer guests listened to the history of the house. Hosts were incredibly accommodating - let us move fridge so we could use (sorry we forgot to take the last bits with us) Friendly but never too much.

Lovely clean hotel. Room small but perfect. The breakfast was exceptional. An amazing selection. Complimentary tea/coffee in lounge area. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Toby was a particularly helpful member of staff.
Lovely atmosphere. Comfortable and relaxing. Ideal for my stay. If I come to Oslo again I’ll aim to go back to this apartment.
Lovely hotel in a central location Friendly staff We got a free upgrade by 2 levels to the deluxe room, which was stunning. Very spacious, comfortable & lots of amenities in the room
Lovely modern apartment. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to relax, cook, clean ourselves and our clothes. Beds and rooms nice and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and a few bonuses. Coded entry is great. Lifts a nice perk. The owner was very responsive and generous.
Good location and got upgrade to bigger room for no extra charge. Lovely breakfast.
Staff were incredible, particularly Kenneth who arranged for a lovely surprise as we were in Oslo for our honeymoon. Nothing was a problem for the staff. The breakfast was large and outstanding selection and quality - it was packed with what seemed to us as locals on the weekend for breakfast.
The pool and relaxation area was lovely. Great location.
Lovely hotel close to everything in Oslo. The hotel itself is delightfully, ambiently and quirkily decorated - a cross between an arty inner-city pad, a posh hotel and your favourite aunt's very cool house. It felt comfortably relaxing, homely and welcoming yet still like an upmarket hotel. The top floor suite which comfortably catered for two adults and our adult daughter, was a great size with a good view over the city. We only had two nights but could easily have spent a week...next time.
We loved everything about our stay. When we arrived we were upgraded and had a fabulous room which opened onto a terrace and had a view across the valley. There is a lovely pool and a sauna - perfect for relaxing after skiing. The restaurant and lounge were very cosy and the staff helpful and friendly.
Beautiful place with nice pond, breakfast was really good, the staff were lovely. Would go there again for a romantic weekend with activities
