Shady Mango is a family run business where we felt like home (close to everything in Sigiriya)! The room was extremely clean, spacious and had a nice outdoor tarasse where we could take rest looking at the beautiful garden. The owners are amazing, kind and helpful. They went with us early morning to Piturangala rock and also dropped us for bus when we were leaving Sigiriya. We had there the best breakfast (pancakes with coconut and honey are soooo delicious) in Sri Lanka. We wished to stay longer…

Fresh fruit plate , authentic tea. and we also ate Dinesh's mum's fantastic food for dinner . it was some of the tastiest we've had anywhere in the world! Dinesh is super friendly and helpful as well, he'll gladly help arranged laundry outside. His father is a retired local post office officer he is super kind , My boy Liam just mentioned he love drink coconuts, the next morning his father picked the coconuts from their garden. We had the best stay during our trip to Sri-Lanka, my boy missed this family very much . Can't recommend enough!

There is a 24-hour front desk at the property. Gangadiya Lodge is a small family-managed hotel in a quiet area just about five minutes away from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock. The family is very welcoming and has helped us with the organization of a Jeep Safari. They have their own tuktuk and were happy to drive us to Sigiriya Rock or to the village at a fair rate. Nice garden, excellent Sri Lankan breakfast.

Bike hire and car hire are available at the guest house and the area is popular for cycling and walking tours. An indoor play area is also available at Sevonrich Holiday Resort, while guests can also relax in the garden. The stay was lovely and we got a full Dambulla + Sigiriya package (especially by Chandana) for an astonishingly low price in total. We can highly recommend!
