The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s young cricketers. Everything during our stay was amazing, the staff, the food, the property. Everything exceeded our expectations. The chef even made a cake for my boyfriends birthday.

Perched on a hilltop and providing a view of the famous Unawatuna Beach, The Horizon Hill Top Villa is located in Dalawella, 800 metres from Dalawella beach. It is 600 metres from Sri Yoga Shala. Free WiFi access is available. Yoga sessions can be arranged. One of the best staff I ever seen. Nice team! Good service and kind people. Good view and helpful communication.

This is a new hotel with modern renovation, a wonderful shower, toilet, large room, beautiful view from the window, air conditioning, lots of light, hot water - everything works. It was important for me to have Wi-Fi, it’s generally ok, but there are severe slowdowns in speed, and once there was a power outage (but not for long). For a small fee, a large kitchen with a refrigerator and a gas stove for cooking is available. I would recommend visiting a nearby restaurant with European and Russian cuisine "Cool Spot", and a supermarket Sandagiri Super Market (Pvt) Ltd.

Balcony and the pool were great. We really liked the place and if we would have had more time we would have extended our visit.
