The hotel has an Art Deco design and is set in an elegant Edwardian house with some period features. All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms complimented with luxury Noble Island toiletries. Most rooms also offer stunning views of the river Rothay or the scenic fells. We stayed one night. I don't think I've ever felt more welcome than in that hotel.

A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts. Lovely staff, clean, large and comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast.

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast, ample parking. Great location. The honesty bar was a winner. Highly recommend a stay.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. The breakfast was delicious, a good variety of options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is nicely decorated and our room was very pleasant and comfortable. I absolutely recommend a stay here.

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. We liked everything, but mostly the staff service. Each of the staff members seemed to make our stay comfortable and happy by anticipating our needs and solving any little problem we had. The morning breakfast was excellent. The Hotel is situated in a quiet but lovely center, and the entrance is easy (we had some thought when booking because the picture on the website showed many steps leading to the entrance, but when we arrived, we realized that the entrance is on the side and very convenient). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to spend in the spa but we checked it and it seems excellent.

The Westbourne serves traditional English breakfast. Guests can also relax in the conservatory or comfortable lounge with real log fire.

Bowness-On-Windermere's quaint shops and restaurants are just a short walk from The Westbourne. Free parking is available. Sue & Andre were exceptional hosts & presented accomodation that was very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Central location in easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the lake & pier. On-site easy parking was a bonus. Andre helped us with walking options, Elterwater & the Langdale valley were a photographers dream. Thanks so much for adding to my memorable holiday with my daughter.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. The facility and the people were exceptional. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of the trip. Please keep me posited with every new thing in this great resort.

Windermere Hillthwaite Hotel has an elevated position and a terrace with stunning views towards Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. Some rooms also have views towards the lake and mountains. There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. The staff is very nice and helpful Location is very good Perfect place for holiday with family

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. The room was as we expected, with great views. Breakfast, dinner, cheese platter with our drinks upon arrival as we traveled the whole day, a perfect start of our stay. The staff was as friendly and helpful as always and when we had to book an extra night last minute we got the large family room which, although not the great views, you do get red robbins on your windowsill to wake you up which we loved. Hoping to come back again in September.

With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. The view of the hotel is absolutely stunning! Sadly we are only staying for one night. We have a nice view from our room, and even a surprising sunset view from the toilet! We had dinner before heading to the hotel, but I instantly regretted it because the menu looks attractive and you could sit outside and look at the great view. The breakfast was very nice as well.
