The receptionist at the check in was very polite and helpful. The room had a mountain view and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Good selection of fruit and cereal at the breakfast buffet.
Ambleside
The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.
Each stylish room has fresh light décor.
The room was big enough, clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any request we had. Absolutely recommended. The location is perfect because the bus stop to Windermere and the city centre was 2 mins away.
Ambleside
With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. Most awesome accomodation we stayed in a long time. Perfect location, extremely friendly staff, wonderful Spa - exceptional all around

Sue & Andre were exceptional hosts & presented accomodation that was very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Central location in easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, the lake & pier. On-site easy parking was a bonus. Andre helped us with walking options, Elterwater & the Langdale valley were a photographers dream. Thanks so much for adding to my memorable holiday with my daughter.
Bowness-on-Windermere
Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. it was a nice experience..i loved it

It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. We stayed in Room 10. We loved the comfort, the view and the facilities. The breakfast was delicious

When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a hot tub room due to it being our mini moon which was such a lovely surprise. We were immediately shown around the hotel & everything was explained to us which was a really personal touch. The spa was absolutely beautiful and having the pool side bar in there felt like a really nice luxury. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, there was so many options! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Mizumi restaurant was 10/10!!
So glad we found this little gem of a hotel situated just top of the hill of Bowness, it’s perfect walking distance to the town. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the drinks on the terrace when the rain allowed. We cannot wait to return to this fabulous hotel! As it was our wedding anniversary they us pretty surprise with bottle of wine on arrival it was so lovely
Really lovely view from room, staff were lovely even got upgraded room on arrival which was great! Spa facilities were great with sauna, steam-room, indoor pool and amazing view from the outdoor jacuzzis. Breakfast was great, saw some complaints about having to pay extra for hot foot but thought there were loads of options for what was included in breakfast without hot food!! Saw loads of bad reviews but personally not sure why, we had a great stay - do not let it put you off.
We both had a perfect stay for my boyfriends 30th birthday stay. The room was beautiful, very clean and very comfortable. The roll top bath was a lovely extra with the fire and huge tv.
Comfortable spacious room with good shower. Loved the locally produced luxury toiletries in the bathroom - even went and bought some to take home! Excellent breakfast with choice of cooked breakfasts. Varied evening menu in comfortable surroundings meant we ended up eating in every night. Liked the comfortable residents only lounge. Pool and sauna lovely and relaxing after a day walking in the hills. Staff very friendly.
All staff were very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much, any minor issues we did have were dealt with very quickly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Made our stay extra special with glasses of Champagne on the house as this was our Honeymoon and also an extra special room upgrade :)
Gorgeous hotel!! After a 10 mile walk it was the perfect setting to relax and unwind! Had a lovely swim, sauna and jacuzzi (all included in booking) Food in the restaurant was gorgeous and the breakfast was top notch too. Lots of choices whether you prefer a full English or croissants and fruit! Bed was really comfy and the luxury bath topped it all!!
The place and the view to the coast is absolutely stunning. The facilities are amazing, very relaxing and quiet, perfect for a romantic weekend. Staff are lovely and very helpful
We love how the boutique style blended with modern. We love how we was able to relax in a comfortable quiet environment. The hospitality was 10/10 very professional and the owners were so lovely. We Got upgraded for a very good price and they treated us to a beautiful romantic breakfast. (definitely give the special breakfast a try!)
