It is a very clean property with a great and very efficient staff. The property is in the middle of the mountains about 20 min driving to Balea Lac. If you need a quiet place with amazing food and beautiful scenery , I would recommend it.

The property is a clean, cozy, and spectacular refuge in the mountains. The rooms are clean and functional. We both had a great and quiet sleep. Mihai was wonderful in helping us with our luggages and with guiding us through our meal choices. The food was perfect— we had the tocanita and the pastrama. The papanasi dessert was to die for. The owner and his family also made us feel very welcome. Altogether, this was the best stay we could have imagined in the Fagaras mountains and would highly recommend for all types of travellers.

Very close to glacial Lake Bâlea, this is the best accommodation on Transfăgărăşan road with stunning view of the waterfall and mountains, which can also be admired from the restaurant while enjoying your meal. The food is well cooked, breakfast is good and varied. Prices are decent considering it's a remote location. The staff was friendly, serving was quick. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a relaxing time and we will certainly be back.

Located on the shores of Lake Vidraru in Arefu, Hotel Valea cu Pesti enjoys panoramic views of the lake and the Fagaras Mountains. An indoor swimming pool is also available.
The rooms have modern interior, air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV and private bathroom. A separate living and bedroom are features of some.

We liked the beds, the location (amazing lake). The pool and sauna were very nice, not crowded at all (2-3 couples at all times), very spacious, with an amazing view (the lake, of course). The pool and sauna are included in the price of the room, while the massage is not. The pool is open from around 8 or 9 AM until 9 PM, so there is plenty of time to visit it. We stayed in a double room with twin beds. We had the usual commodities: slippers, bathrobes, clean towels replaced every day, a kettle, minibar with water and soda. The staff was nice, the food was tasty. There are many activities if you decide to stay in the hotel - pool table, darts, air hockey, playground for children. We also took a boat ride.
