We were there at the very beginning of the season, the road had not yet been fully opened, the hotel was practically empty. Very polite staff, spacious and clean room with a beautiful view of the mountains. There was a safe in the room. Delicious breakfast and coffee. We had a great time!

Parcul Capra is the best place to spend your vacation, especially in a time like this with drought in the country. The air is fresh, and the temperatures ere around 60-65 F in July of 2022. The wonderful Mountain views, which surround the motel has like a ‘cherry on the cake’, the beautiful waterfall which you can admire even from inside the motel when you have your meals. Delicious breakfast, included in the price. Just a few ‘steps’ to the Bilea Lake.

Located on the shores of Lake Vidraru in Arefu, Hotel Valea cu Pesti enjoys panoramic views of the lake and the Fagaras Mountains. An indoor swimming pool is also available.

No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).
Căpăţîneni-Ungureni (Near Cumpăna)
Free private parking is offered on site. Curtea Arges is 35 km away from Arefu and the Posada Vidraru. Guests can relax at the artificial Vidraru Lake, which was created in 1965, or enjoy boat trips, which can be arranged on request.

We liked the beds, the location (amazing lake). The pool and sauna were very nice, not crowded at all (2-3 couples at all times), very spacious, with an amazing view (the lake, of course). The pool and sauna are included in the price of the room, while the massage is not. The pool is open from around 8 or 9 AM until 9 PM, so there is plenty of time to visit it. We stayed in a double room with twin beds. We had the usual commodities: slippers, bathrobes, clean towels replaced every day, a kettle, minibar with water and soda. The staff was nice, the food was tasty. There are many activities if you decide to stay in the hotel - pool table, darts, air hockey, playground for children. We also took a boat ride.
