The owner's sympathy and sweetness. A cultured woman with a degree in Philosophy. The house perspires history, as it has been in the same family for hundreds of years. It is also cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best to take a plunge in the large swimming pool.
Horta dos Cedros is a farm with two detached houses and a shared swimming pool, 5 minutes' walking from the centre of Tomar, by the Nabão River, with privileged views of the Convent of Christ.

The room was nice and clean.
Location is very closed to the Fatima Sanctuary which makes it easier for us to go back in between mass/prayer/activities.
Also it has restaurant on the ground floor which opens early at 7.30am. Handy for breakfast when most restaurants/cafes open in later hours.
Closed to many others good restaurants as well.
Boasting garden views, Quinta Da Mata provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 40 km from Our Lady of Fatima Basilica.

The room was well decorated and clean. The bathroom was lovely with jacuzzi bath. Lovely view across the square to the castle. Breakfast was good, with a variety of food available. The bed was comfortable and the pillow wasn't hard. I could not fault my stay.
I loved the fact that the hotel was right next to the castle…
Nice place to be with many shops around…
Reminds me the medieval times…great place…

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good Breakfast and comfy bed. Our room had an outside jacuzzi (the only room) and this was icing on the cake.
