Lovely place, the owner welcomed us with a big smile and helped us to visit the area and the best places. Very helpful and kind. The swimming pool was a delightful treat. The breakfast was amazing with many local specialties. The room was in a typical small house, beautiful, well decorated comfortable and very clean.

Just 2km from Monsaraz Castle, Monte Alerta is surrounded by a meditation garden, organic orchard and next to the largest artificial lake in Europe, the Alqueva.

The pool place is beautiful, full of shadows which is really something important in Alentejo. The pool water was at 30 degrees and the temperature was close to 40 degrees. The house is full of vintage objects, like old telephones, and writing machines. I found myself searching for old treasures.
The bedroom was clean and spacious. The Bathroom was also great.
The property owner lives there, so you feel at home. Everything is well decorated. I felt I was visiting family.

I recommend going outside late night (around 1h30 -2 a.m. to see the sky. Is beautiful.

The house and rooms were spacious and well-kept, with a traditional style. Breakfast has enough variety to keep you satisfied. The staff was always cheerful and lovely. There's a very nice swimming pool, especially useful in the heat of Alentejo. Last but not least, the property (and the room we stayed in) offers a great view of the castle town of Monsaraz. Guests were in general quiet and civilized, this is a great place for relaxing. You will need a car or some other private form of transport to move around the area.
Everything that happened to us that week was incredible! The staff is amazing and lovely, the apartments are beautiful and garden with patio and pool so relaxing and cute.

Breakfast was very good, all freshly prepared and served to your table, lovely and relaxed modern farmstyle atmosphere. Very friendly hosts,they really pay attention to details! We unfortunately stayed only one night but we'll be back some other time again!
The comfy rooms are all new renovated and so is the mainbuilding. Viva Farmhouse is still busy growing, making it a relaxed place to spend a special time. There is a chilling pool area!
Ignore the fact that there is no internet and stay at this delightful cottage in beautiful Monsaraz. It is the perfect location - very quiet and has the luxury of car parking at the door. A beautiful bedroom with a super comfortable bed and quality bedding. We enjoyed the private terrace - which affords lovely views over the valley. The kitchen is equipped with all that we required and there was nice welcome gifts from the host. Everywhere spotlessly clean.
Amazing place. Perfectly clean! Well organized, rooms and yard are invite you to relax. The breakfast was fantastic with home made jam and homemade pomegranate juice. We enjoy the breakfast so much. The host are so lovely. We couldn't expect more.
Definitely recommend to all. One of the best place we have stayed!!
