This hotel was easily one of our favorites during our two-week adventure through Norway, Iceland, and beyond. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the little touches, like the fantastic-smelling soap, shampoo and body lotion, went a long way. The on-site dining was exceptional, featuring the best steak I've had in this trip. The quality of the food was truly top-notch. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. My husband enjoyed great conversation with the manager while relaxing at the bar. The mountain views were breathtaking, and the hotel's proximity to the beach allowed us to capture stunning photos of the surrounding landscape. Overall, this hotel provided an exceptional experience, and we highly recommend it if you want a comfortable, quiet place in the middle of the nature.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Check-in was a breeze. Big, warm, clean, modern family room that smelt nice (according to the kids). The meal at the restaurant was lovely, especially the soup, and the buffet breakfast was outstanding! The waterfall nearby is beautiful. Thank you Hotel Skogafoss.

The cabin was very clean. Two beds are in a separate room and two beds are in the room with the kitchen and kitchen table. The bathroom was off the common room. It worked for us since our teenage kids stay up later and sleep in longer in the morning. So we used the beds in the common room and didn't disturb the kids when we got up in the morning. There is not much space in the cabin for suitcases but when looking around we found a few places to store the baggage so it ended up to be a spacious enough for us 4 for two days. The kitchen is equipped with enough for one day so plan to wash dishes at least once a day. It's a very quiet place off the main road. Internet is very spotty. Sometimes it worked albeit slow and other times we didn't have a connection. Download books, movies, maps, or whatever you need before you arrive. It may not work in the cabin anymore. The walk to the pool up the road (1.7 miles) is worth the walk. The pool is not worth a bath. It's fairly cold and not very clean. But the surroundings are stunning.
