Hayley and steve were so lovely, such a warm welcome.. hayley had communicated days before with textes, emails.. even had a text day before saying we could get in our room earlier... cleanliness of the hotel and room we stayed in was excellent... lovely surprise for us in our room on behalf of hayley and steve..
Breakfast was excellent.. nothing too much trouble..
Bedroom staff was lovely and friendly...

Great value for money and I would absolutely return. The staff also made an occasion of our anniversary with a lovely decoration in the room. The use of the spa was also much appreciated.

The owner and staff looked after our every need they arranged an early check in knowing we had stayed local the previous night due to a cottage we booked being substandard. Nothing was to much trouble the breakfast being delivered to the room was a great touch. The room facilities are great and defiantly recommend a stay as we will be returning.

Breakfast was lovely, continental but plenty of choice and included pancakes. staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They even brought us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary.
Spa was perfect. All in all a perfect stay.
Really lovely view from room, staff were lovely even got upgraded room on arrival which was great! Spa facilities were great with sauna, steam-room, indoor pool and amazing view from the outdoor jacuzzis. Breakfast was great, saw some complaints about having to pay extra for hot foot but thought there were loads of options for what was included in breakfast without hot food!! Saw loads of bad reviews but personally not sure why, we had a great stay - do not let it put you off.
The location of the property was lovely! Looking over the lake was very special - The spa facilities were clean & relaxing and having the outdoor jacuzzi was such a bonus!
We were upgraded to Stable End which was in fact bigger and better! Exactly how the images show and was given a lovely touch of free champagne as I proposed to my partner (now fiancé) 10/10 communication, cleanliness and quality! Hot tub is amazing as well!
Staying here felt like all the comforts of home in the bedroom and all the luxury of a spa at the same time. It was heaven and a lovely relaxing treat. The staff were helpful and friendly and the glass of prosecco on arrival was a lovely welcome too. Would definitely recommend 🥰
We had such a lovely stay for our Wedding Anniversary. The staff were so friendly and helpful. James greeted us wishing us a Happy Anniversary when we check in and told us we had kindly been upgraded to the Oscar Wilde Suite what a lovely surprise thank you. Wow we couldn't believe how big it was so lovely and spacious such a pretty suite .We look forward to returning.
The staff were so lovely and wonderful! My husband and I were on our honeymoon and the lady at the desk was really lovely and upgraded our room to the suite as it wasn't being used, it was so lovely! Will definitely come here again.🥰
amazing setting, about a 3 minute drive out of Windermere. we got a free upgrade to a superior suite as it was an anniversary trip and got a complimentary drink as our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived. the breakfast was lovely and the hash browns were to die for. The room was extremely spacious and the bed was very large and unbelievably comfortable.
amazing!! Me and my boyfriend are 25 and both work stressful jobs 6-7 days a week. we just needed down time. stayed for 1 night and wished we booked longer, staff so friendly, food and cocktails are stunning. The room was nice and the spa was so relaxing. Icing on the cake was the amazing couples massage! already planning our next visit.

The spa was just perfect for relaxing after a long days walking. With a lovely indoor pool and 2 outside jacuzzis.
The view over the lake from the restaurant and room was idyllic. The large windows captured the Lake District at its finest.
The food was delicious. Freshly prepared and a wide variety. I particularly recommend the sticky toffee pudding.
