Queen Phillippa, hotel in Southend-on-Sea

Situated close to the centre of Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, Queen Phillippa offers high quality bed and breakfast accommodation.

Excellent staff - great communication. They contacted us about a private function that was booked in the hotel whilst we were there , warning about possible disruption and noise. Didn't affect us, but was impressed that they took time to warn us before hand. Lovely twin room, great facilities. Excellent full breakfast in the morning.

Management did her very level utter most Best to put us in a lovely sea view room including with a free upgrade simply due to the fact that we had emailed in saying we were celebrating our 24rd wedding anniversary. So it would be nice if they did something nice cutesy if the Hotel. So upon entering our room we found Petals on the bed, a jacuzzi bath tub, brilliant size and colours in the room, I mean she did the most for us to be honest and as such we’re truly grateful!! THANK YOU so very much to her.

Even though we booked a back garden view room we found the room cosy and relaxing. Our son and his girlfriend had the room in front of ours with seaview and balcony and that was lovely but still me and hubby loved our room. Found the detail to the bathroom, liquid soap, shower gel and all other toiletries to be an added luxury as they were of a high standard. The breakfast was exceptional all items freshly made and very well presented.

Location was excellent for the cliffs pavilion. Upgrade was a lovely bonus - double aspect room with jacuzzi bath. Friendly staff particularly on reception when we booked in and had trouble with the parking app! Weather was dreadful but the room warm and very comfortable.

Perfect stay in a beautiful hotel. Debbie, the owner, was welcoming, friendly and kind. I was so lucky to get an upgrade to a room overlooking the sea. I almost cried with happiness at how lovely it was. All the extras in the room (snacks, popcorn, crisps, sweets etc) really made a difference. Watching the sunrise over the sea was joyful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
