Breakfast was really good, lots of options. Mugs provided not cups. Sink big enough to wash my hair in. quiet toilet flush for night-time visits. Suitcase 'stand'. the view. Fresh milk for teas and coffees!
Dinners were good, not the usual pub chips fare.
Herriots Hotel in Skipton is situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and just 100m from Skipton Railway Station. Traditional food and quality cask ales are on the menu.

Probably the nicest room we've ever stayed in! We were lucky enough to stay in 'The Lovely Seat' room better known as the Honeymoon suite! Absolutely stunning, with a balcony looking out over the park. Large comfortable bed, with exceptional bathroom facilities. First class! The staff were all very friendly. I wish I could say one of them went above and beyond, but they all did!!
If you get the chance for a scone in the cafe, do it! Absolutely beautiful.

The pod was lovely and we had an upgrade as the superior pods weren't in use for those dates which was great! It was really nicely laid out and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfy, as was the sofa. The bathroom was great and having a full size shower was fab :-) The park is lovely and peaceful, we enjoyed watching the wild rabbits on the grass nearby in the morning and also in the evening. Gorgeous little 4 bed cottage, we had a lovely relaxing stay here. The views are absolutely amazing and we loved the cows visiting us. Very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Hot tub was a treat with the stunning views.

As per other's comments, the local farmshop is good for breakfast/lunch/afternoon pick-up. Kirkby Malham is the nearest place for evening eating. For both, check on days closed though.
