The hotel was perfect. The room was very clean and the staff were exceptional. Access to the health club (pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steamer), separate to the spa, was included in our stay and it was amazing after a long walk in the Lake District. The food in the restaurant was also very good.

Less than 2 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere, Newby Bridge Hotel has a fine restaurant, a swimming pool and a gym. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and free private parking.

Liked everything about this hotel...set in beautiful surroundings, staff were friendly and efficient. Room was lovely , clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and was buffet, self service. They accept pets at an extra £10. I was offered use of the hotel pool but had forgotten my bathing suit so didnt use this facility but would in future. Didnt eat dinner in the hotel but can recommend the Pheasant Inn which isnt too far away from the hotel.

Bay Villa, hotel in Newby Bridge

Just metres from the sea and offering easy access to the beautiful sights of the Lake District, Bay Villa offers sophistically included bed and breakfast accommodation.

We stayed in the library room for 2 nights as part of our minimoon trip after our wedding in Cumbria. We were looking for somewhere special to stay and Bay Villa fit the bill perfectly. Margaret made us feel really welcome right from the outset and was the perfect hostess. The four poster bed was the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in and the breakfast was delicious and brought to the room each day. Parking was easy (just a minute's walk away) and the area felt safe and quiet. The place was spotless and Margaret had thought of everything we should need, also leaving us a welcome drink, some biscuits and some excellent teas and coffees. It is such a beautiful room, we didn't feel the need to go out much in the evening as there was so much space and it had a relaxing atmosphere with armchairs, a fireplace and a swing chair on the balcony! Thankyou so much Margaret for making our stay so special x

An overall fantastic stay, with lovely and helpful staff members. The location is brilliant for exploring the local area and the facilities on offer make for a great stay if you want to just unwind at the hotel. We were able to add breakfast in bed for a small charge which we did each morning and it was always tasty and well presented. The hotel is quirky and relaxing and we would definitely recommend it

During our stay it rained continuously, so having access to the gym and spa was fantastic. It was well equipped with both free weights and machines. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The staff I met in the hotel were also very friendly, although I felt we had the space to come and go. Our room was spruced up daily. The river was a lovely backdrop to our stay and was both dramatic and relaxing in equal measure. In terms of location, it was a perfect base for all our trips throughout the week.

It was large and spacious. Lots of room to sit and relax inside and outside. Pool was a nice temp and not too busy in the evening when we used those facilities. Hot tub, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were lovely. Breakfast was the best. Lots of choice and cooked to order. Staff were pleasant and helpful especially the ladies in reception.
