Grand destination hotel. Wonderful location right on the lake. Old historical hotel with amazing fruit chandelier and calm quiet atmosphere. The dinner was the best quality food we’ve had in the Uk so far. The continental breakfast had a huge selection. We loved the swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna. Very comfortable bed

I would highly rate this hotel. The manager, she is exceptional she gives a very warm welcome and the stuff are pleasant. If any requirements the manager is always happy to assist. The pool and the facilities are great. The chef Stefan is absolutely amazing, the food was phenomenal and his recommendations excellent. Would happily go again.

The quaint, low beamed rooms at The Cavendish Arms each feature an en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

In the evening, guests can relax and unwind with a drink at the bar after exploring one of the many surrounding walking routes Cartmel has to offer.

My 1st anniversary return to Cavindish, with my new British wife. Enjoyed the stay, nice all around. Hope to return again.

    Mostly everything! What a fabulous place to stay. The scenery is outstanding, the building is beautiful. Cascades was a lovely place to relax, in the pool and steam room. It honestly was so lovely.

    The location was wonderful & peaceful. The room with balcony was gorgeous, although a sweep of the balcony to get rid of cobwebs prior to guests arrival might be a good idea. The jacuzzi bath was a lovely surprise.

    Very modern, clean and comfortable. Very spacious and every thing required. Plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes, very comfortable beds!! Lovely luxury bath sheets and hand towels. Kitchen/living area spacious and all kitchen items required for self catering. Laundry facilities great too! Location is very good for visiting all towns nearby. Rusland Pool pub/hotel has a great menu and Large petrol station nearby has supermarket and Costa!

    The views were absolutely gorgeous, our room overlooked the river which was amazing, the food in the restaurant was delicious, good sized portions and full of flavour, the spa was clean and the sauna and steamroom were lovely, sadly the jacuzzi was closed for our visit which was disappointing but everything was really nice..we will deffo be back again..

    It was large and spacious. Lots of room to sit and relax inside and outside. Pool was a nice temp and not too busy in the evening when we used those facilities. Hot tub, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were lovely. Breakfast was the best. Lots of choice and cooked to order. Staff were pleasant and helpful especially the ladies in reception.

    The staff here are really nice and very helpful. The lock on our door was faulty but was quickly fixed with a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Our room was spotless with the added bonus of a jacuzzi bath and lovely view of he gardens. We met a lovely lady called Sylvia who served us in the restaurant,very friendly and soo helpful. Thank you .

    The gorgeous views from where you can, enjoy a lovely wine. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious apart from the bathroom but it did have a relaxing jacuzzi bath so that was a bonus.
