Very new owners with lovely friendly energetic style. Newly opened and refurbishing as they go. Downstairs done and looking great. Upstairs awaiting a bit of an upgrade but the bed and bedding were excellent, the pressure in the shower and hot water excellent, the room was roomy and a really lovely temperature - snug but airy. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff, nice buzz in the bar in the evening.

The place is stunning, my girls loved the dog Chloe. A very warm welcome. We loved the cottage it was perfect for us, everything you could have needed was there. The swimming pool was an ease to use when you have 3 children, felt so relaxed. Views stunning, a park on site and walks all around to keep you entertained. The snacks were a lovely treat for us too thanks for having us. We didn't want to leave.

A really lovely stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed meeting them. Breakfast was excellent; we particularly enjoyed the vine tomatoes. Our room was spacious and light, with a great seating area in the bay window. This was a very quiet and relaxing stay, in the heart of beautiful Dartmoor. We had a great meal at The Horse, and there are other good eating options.

Amazing grounds, with a really lovely walk into the nearby village. The room was luxurious (we were lucky enough to get a free upgrade) - the bath and rainfall shower were both excellent. We loved the falconry experience, which was free - highly recommend it! Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel has lots of relaxing rooms with fires going to find a quiet spot to read or play cards, etc.

The hosts were absolutely lovely, and were very welcoming and friendly. The location was picturesque and idyllic with plenty of opportunities for walks. The facilities were fantastic, particularly the heated pool and the cabin itself (which was great for relaxing and cooking in). I'd definitely recommend this place for couples or families who enjoy nature, a bit of luxury, and a warm welcoming atmosphere.
