Bannatyne Hotel Darlington, hotel in Darlington

This historical town house is less than a mile from Darlington town centre. It has free limited parking and free internet.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded this time. What a wonderful room and bathroom. Although this is not the first time I have stayed here, the rooms have always been great, but this time, it was exceptional. I wish I didn't have to go to work. Otherwise, I would have been able to sleep longer in the lovely comfortable bed!

There could have been more choice of fruit there were only 3 slices of melon left and fruits of the Forrest out of a frozen packet which are very tangy ( I know because I buy the same packet)

The Buck Inn, hotel in Darlington

Located in the heart of Richmond, this small hotel is well-situated for exploring the beautiful scenery and features of the town. Each room has a TV, and luggage storage is available at the property.

My room was spotless clean, bed perfect for me-not too firm, not too soft. Nice decor . Couldn’t have find a more convenient spot if I’d tried and the price was amazing for Richmond. Breakfast was superb and kept me going well past lunchtime. The hosts were super friendly but not nosey, even gave me a parking disc as parking by the hotel was disc parking. I will certainly return and would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely cosy barn conversion which was spotlessly clean. The outside area was great with comfortable seating and the hot tub was excellent to relax in especially at night. The property is ideally suited for Barnard Castle. The hosts (Allison and Jamie) are really friendly and can't do enough to help. The welcome pack was a great addition including milk, cereals, jams and a bottle of Prosecco. We had a top experience and will be back.

We had a warm welcome upon arrival, the room was large and the bed very comfortable. We opted for half board and we’re not disappointed, the food was amazing, both breakfast and evening meal, highly recommended. We used the spa facilities which was relaxing and we were provided with bath robs and slippers. The grounds were lovely looking over the golf course.

The property owner left milk tea, coffee and biscuits for us and even a bottle of wine, which we enjoyed in the little courtyard at the back. The neighbours were friendly and although the village was quiet there was a local pub and it wasn't far to shops and restaraunts in the next village. The owner let us know she lived in the village and said we could ring if there was anything we needed. The property was very pleasant and clean and had all the home amenities we could need. There were 2 local castles to visit and lovely local walks.

I booked a solo stay here for the night before my friends wedding and got upgraded to a lovely luxury suite. The suite was incredible and allowed me to fully relax and rejuvenate the night before. The bathroom was huge and there was even a bath in the room. The TV had netflix and all of the apps so it was great overall. I was really touched by this and would most definitely return.

One of our party was given an upgraded room - a beautiful four poster suite and it was lovely. The dinner was beautiful and with 3 vegetarians that's not always the case. The lounge area was very comfortable to relax in before and after dinner. The bar staff were over-stretched so perhaps need more people on at certain times. I was sadly unwell during the stay and had to visit A & E in the night but the night staff was very helpful.
