This is an unexpected gem! Mark and Sabine were excellent hosts. You can tell they have put so much love and energy into their B&B. The room was impeccable, with lots of thoughtful touches. The bathroom has been renovated to an excellent standard, with some unique features and gorgeous tiles. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice, including for veggies/vegans. We couldn't recommend Moortown Lodge enough.

Everything was wonderful and the staff were the absolute best - could not have been more friendly and helpful! Hayley, Meri and Maria were all very welcoming and friendly and Hayley went above and beyond to help us and make our stay truly memorable. We can’t wait to go back again and stay longer next time!

Excellent hosts!! Very cosy and clean rooms, the breakfast was delicious... Location was just perfect. The hosts were very accommodating with any requests we had and very helpful. One of the best B&Bs we have been to. We will definitely be coming again..Thank you for the hospitality.

The bed was so comfortable and it was so quiet in the neighbourhood. The location was great! And it was such a unique experience to stay in the historic room but with very nice modern facilities. The staff were so lovely and we were so happy about the vegetarian and vegan breakfast options, they were well made and filled us up to explore the area with a long walk!
