the room was spacious, with a big comfy bed, and well decorated.
the main hotel complex had old world charm, with Chesterfield seating dotted around, as we left for our room on the eavening we arrived 12th Nov, the hotel was being decorated with Christmas decorations which we came down to the nest morning, it looked amazing, and with the mist rising off the lake, the whole scene looked magical.
we were going to eat in Ambleside during our stay, but the food offering in the hotel suited us, it was well cooked and the staff were wonderful, so we just enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel, rather than trying what might have been hit and miss, if we had gone into Ambleside, although I'm sure there are some great eateries there.
the location on the lakes edge, with amazing views and a sun terrace for the summer months, was perfect! the pics don't do it justice, abd I would have loved to have been able to post more.

The room was breath taking! The view from the window was amazing. The bed was perfect. The food was amazing. My husband and I felt very comfortable there. It was very relaxing. The location was spot on.

Nice friendly staff,room on the unexpected small size but OK for the two nights we stopped, close too the amenities which was great , parking good.

Central location. Lovely pool, gym spa area with outside jacuzzi. Very relaxing. Breakfast was lovely. Well organised and the room was just beautiful . Lounge seating areas, lots of different cosy collections of seating to choose from. Lovely friendly staff
Excellent location, excellent interior, lovely room.
Proposed to my girlfriend and a lovely staff member called Rhys bought us out of his own money two glasses of prosecco, he looked after us from start to finish and always came and said hello and asked about our day. Staff like him are hard to find and he is a credit to your hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was totally relaxing and away from the touristy parts of the lakes. Judith and Ed were most welcoming and the gift of a bottle of wine was most welcome as it was something we had forgotten to bring. The grounds are lovely with the garden swing and the comfortable shelter to enjoy in the unpredictable weather. We were also given advice on the restaurants nearby and advised on the necessity to book.
We spent our wedding anniversary here for the second time. It is a lovely and relaxing place. The food is great and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. I would definately stay again and recommend it to friends and family xxx
Great delicious food, big choice for breakfast. Fantastic spa facilities, outdoor hot tub was amazing clean and big enough, great swimming pool and saunas, jacuzzi. Great gym with very new equipment. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Very comfortable lounges, relaxing atmosphere. Lovely staff all way round. Great massage too.
Lovely place and gave us a free upgrade. Would definitely stay again. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with rose petals and balloons in our room.

Far enough away from the busy town ,
To relax in a beautiful setting , with the perfect walk along the lake , within a stones throw from the parking area
Then to relax with our own nibbles we bought , i , sipping on a bottle of wine supplied by the venue , in the lovely garden setting .
Room was fabulous, we were upgraded. It was our wedding anniversary & there was a card from the team on our bed - such a lovely touch. Breakfast was lovely, some nice alternatives to full English which was delicious.
