    Good location. Quite near the beach. Quiet area. Nice and modern and clean. Friendly and helpfull host. 2 en suite rooms with good privacy.

    Kombuis spasie is baie klein wat dit ongemaklik maak om kos voor te berei ens.

    Baie oulike plek. Beddens was baie gemaklik. Goed geleë, kon strand toe stap en naby genoeg om te ry na toerisme bestemmings. Baie netjies en stylvol. Gemaklik met 'n wasmasjien en liggies wat reeds herlaai was en reg was vir beurtkrag. Vir die prys is dit regtig die geld werd. Sal dit aanbeveel.

    Minor provision to accommodate cursed load shedding 2 small battery powered lights I suppose businesses should be looking to provide inverter or solar powered battery backup to combat negative conditions. Incompetent Eskom not managed to get the situation under control. , Cannot see them doing it anytime soon. Vote corruption out.

    Pleasant stay, good location, great staff. Very comfortable and will use again.

    The fridge didn’t work. We were unable to park our car in the garage. We experienced strong rainfall on the first evening which resulted in water leaking from the ceiling. We had to move to the other room as the noise from this was quite disturbing.

    I liked the space which was available at the house.

    To start with, it’s a cleaning fee. At the very end of the booking process (one step before pressing “pay”) for the first time you get the information that a “cleaning fee” of around 40 euros/dollars will be added to your payment. So, the price that you actually pay is 40 euros higher than advertised. In addition, since a damage deposit of 250 euros is obligatory, be prepared to have some spare funds if you want to get the keys for the accommodation which you have already paid for. The “damage deposit” should be paid via bank transfer “in advance and on time”. We asked the owner for her bank account but haven’t received anything before our trip started. It was agreed that we will pay a deposit in cash, upon arrival. Following the house rule of “no entry before deposit is paid” we had to count money virtually on the street – not usual, not safe, not pleasant… Finally, a local representative was surprised when we asked for a cash receipt! A few phone calls and unpleasant discussions with the owner (additional 15-20 minutes) resulted in some receipt. After spending around 45 minutes outside, and in full sun, we managed to get in. So, the start was far away from being good and friendly. It continued with the discovery that “beachfront” was not exactly beachfront but some 10-15 minutes away (if you know the way). Swimming pool was not within the property but “available” some 200 meters away. Free toiletries were promised in the property description but were nowhere to be seen. After enquiring with the owner, we were prompted to visit a local Spar shop. Internet connection was available, but unreliable and very slow. Don’t count on it for any serious work!

    It’s a nice, comfortable and clean apartment. However, much more is needed if the owner wants to be a good host. One thing for sure, we will not come back again!

    Due to the double damage deposit issue - we will not be back

    We took exception to bad attitude of the owner with respect to the required R5000 damage deposit. (I have never before been asked for a damage deposit) After paying the deposit by EFT - which did not show up in her account immediately (because it was not an instant pay transfer) Despite showing proof that it had already been taken from my account, we had to draw an additional R5000 cash and leave it with the manager otherwise we would not be given the keys to our room - which we had already paid for in full. So we effectively - we paid R10,000 breakage deposit for a 3 night stay! So be aware! If you are staying at Serendipity - you will NOT be given the keys to your room unless your deposit has CLEARED in her account. This really spoilt what was meant to be a nice relaxing weekend away. For this reason we will definitely not be back. Access to the upstairs room via the side gate is awkward because the yard door opens the wrong way. The external stairway is narrow, steep, and not covered. Difficult when it is raining and you need to get your luggage upstairs - we got very wet. The rooms were comfortable and clean and location is convenient.

    Need rechargeable light for loadshedding. Did not bring my own light.

    Still environmental with NO noise. Walking distance from beach.
