the firewood provided was generous but was a bit green.

The modern cottage with comfortable bed and great bathroom. The wonderful views and the covered stoep and braai area. The easy unloading from the car to the deck. the indoor wood heater.

It is better to send instructions on how to heat the bathroom outside immediately upon moving in. Unfortunately, we made a mistake because we started doing it incorrectly at first due to the lack of instructions. we couldn't have dinner at the hotel restaurant at 16:00 because it was closed and we had to come up with our own dinner (but the bread, jam and wine saved us)

The house was very clean! Thank you very much for that! Thank you for the bread, wine and jam (I didn't understand what it was made of, I assume it was made of grapes, but maybe I'm wrong, it was very tasty).

My whole experience of Opstal stay was really remarkable. Just the serenity of the place alone made it worth every penny

Nothing! But, if I had to nitpick, there is no cellphone reception and WiFi was at times spotty. But this is truly minuscule. One night is too short!

Only advise would be to provide a bigger pan or pot to accommodate cooking for 4 people easier. Property doesn't provide a mop to clean floors and only one dish cloth.

Very neat and clean. Excellent location and views. Easy check in. The host was very nice. Overall it was a very good experience for a romantic getaway.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and couldn't ask for a more perfect place! Freda was the best host and we were met by friendly and great staff. The views were spectacular and all the personal touches were deeply appreciated. Its the perfect spot for a getaway and we will definitely visit again!

Limit of 2 bags of wood for stay. This should be more especially in winter. Maybe 2 bags per night?

The staff were lovely and friendly and even though the weather was miserable it was very cosy and warm in the cottage and the views were spectacular.

There was nothing that I didn't like!

The location is exceptional, the units are extremely clean with brilliant facilities. The restaurant was extremely warm (important in winter!) and the food was fantastic! The hot tub outside was clean and easy to heat up, and the bed was super comfortable.

The fridge was slow to cool and the overflow tray was full.

Hosts were informative and helpful. The location is stunning and the amenities were exceptional. Received a complimentary bottle of wine, jam, and bread, that were delicious. The fire place warms up the living areas nicely and the outdoor area is well covered and protected from the elements.

Magnificent views of natural fynbos, rolling farmland and mountains, all around (including from the indoor bath and outdoor hot tub). Love how the house opens up and window views give you a peak of what’s outside from all angles. Breathtaking. The bed was super comfy too.
