it is exquisite .. simple .. tastefully decorated . A beautiful courtyard garden playing french music all day .. We loved it so much we forfeited a night elsewhere to stay another night . It has been the highlight of of our trip . Nick the host is very welcoming and helpful .

Some may have said about the road noise but beautiful sound of the ocean drowned out any road noise for us.

Everything - lovely friendly welcome from Nick with great ideas to optimise our stay. A fantastic king room with balcony overlooking the ocean. Comfy bed & lovely bathroom. Excellent set up with kitchenette & access to BBQ or lovely restaurants minutes away if preferred. Loved Haus am Strand.

Parking not secure, but we had no issues. Tub in room had a shower but no shower curtain. No breakfast, but not an issue as plenty of shops around.

Wonderful location on the beach and across from the main town center with restaurants. Room was very comfortable—great view, little kitchenette. Would highly recommend in Wilderness, also great value.

Incredible location, right by the ocean and you can wake up to the sound and views of the beach. All the facilities that you need. Hosts were very kind. Highly recommend to stay here.

We loved our stay here. The room we stayed in had a kitchen & seperate bedroom/living area. It was really lovely. You walk out the room and onto the beach. We had dolphins swim past one afternoon too. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a short drive across to the main area for restaurants & the supermarket. We loved being on the beach here and also took a drive to the do Half Collard King Fisher trail which id highly recommend too. Very beautiful little town. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying with Rita in Wilderness. The house is super close to the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. You fall asleep to the sound of the waves, which is just amazing! From the room we had a nice ocean view, which we really enjoyed!

This property is an absolute gem! My daughter and I stayed in the Sunrise King Suite for 6 nights & we really wish we could have extended our time! The suite is truly amazing, large, extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, with a lot of thought given to small details. So nice to have two balconies to choose from, both with chairs and tables, perfect to relax and enjoy the stunning views over the ocean! It was lovely to have a sitting area as well as a dining area and a breakfast nook. The desk is a great space for those that wish to work. The WiFi worked fantastically. Loadshedding hardly affected our stay and notices are up daily to keep guests informed of the times. The Suite has everything one could possibly need for self catering supplied which makes your stay an absolute breeze. We loved having the dishwasher together with the daily servicing of the Suite. Rita and her staff were terrific, they were all extremely friendly, helpful and always on hand to help with any request. The courtyard garden by the reception is absolutely beautiful, tranquil and a wonderful spot to relax. This together with all the various seating areas and loungers in the beautiful front garden overlooking the beach make for such a peaceful visit with plenty of spaces to spend your time. You could not ask for a better location right on the prime stretch of the magnificent Wilderness Beach. It is a short walk into Wilderness town over the road and very central for exploring the beautiful coastline up and down. We cannot wait to return and would highly recommend Haus Am Strand to anyone wanting a break in a home away from home!

The decor might not be to everyone's taste but it's exactly what you see in the pictures!

A fantastic option with direct access to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed. Our apartment has a very nice terrace which was perfect for relaxing with a glass of MCC. At the same time the apartment was a very short 3-4 min walk to the city centre (just on the other side of the N2 - but you can use the underpass to walk to the centre).

The location is exactly what the name of the place resembles (Haus am Strand). You literally feel that you are right on the beach! The host was great and he even upgraded our room to bigger apartment (for free) once he realised that I needed a bigger working environment. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything.
