Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaSuperior room 621 felt 'standard', bathroom sink drained slowly, needs TLC (carpets, tiles, walls). A lot of evening noise from the CBD (traffic / people). Dinner service could improve - disappointed with an 'overdone' steak after I asked for medium-rare. Winter Sizzler promotion of R650 pp does not have a single-supplement rate (wanted to charge me R1300). Breakfast is expensive at between R195 - R280 per person, I opted for an alternative in town. I didn't get the requested wake-up call at 06h40, luckily, I set my alarm.
Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Mr D with safe & secure luggage storage. Checkout of 11am (although I had to leave earlier). Proximity of where I needed to be for a meeting.

South AfricaThe towels were a bit ragged and old. The fixtures in the bathrooms needed updating but we were informed that they are busy with this already. The breakfast that we had at the restaurant the next morning was quite expensive so will maybe book that together with our stay next time.
The apartment was well laid out and comfortable for us as a family. The location of the hotel was perfect for the areas and places we wanted to see. All were in walking distance. Parking was safe.

South AfricaWhen I booked through booking.com I requested breakfast to be inclusive. In one of the boxes in describing the venue, it indicated that breakfast was included. However, it was not included in the price and the hotel wanted an additional R280 for breakfast which I was not prepared to pay. This reflects badly on yourselves because this means I now have difficulty in trusting what you offer!! I have stayed in this hotel previously and it is quite acceptable. I noted that the basin in the bathroom was cracked and had some permanent marks of damage.
Staff was friendly. Only gripe is that the impression that I gained during the booking process was that breakfast would be included which it was not!! I have stayed at this hotel a few times and find it acceptable. especially with a restaurant offering decent meals.
