The view from our unit was not that great. Food at the restaurant was ok to below average. Our spa time was cut short due to a booking issue and no fault of our own, it really wasn't worth it. They should really cater for the second room with double or bigger bed, twin beds just not adequate for adults.

Spacious, well equipped units. Peaceful location. Beautiful dam.

From booking in at the resort, our welcome there by friendly staff, our stay and checking out was exceptional. There are so much activities offered at the resort, especially for kids such as mini golf, horse-riding, boat cruises, hiking and fishing. We will certainly book again in the near future!

I wasn’t happy on arrival, check-in was fluent went very well, but outside at the parking a lady driving a silver tazz, had a disagreement with my cousin and she went as far as saying she is management, she will make our stay hell. That isn’t nice when we booked and payed to have a relaxing stay, the welcome to the resort was nice at all.

I love the environment firstly and I love our apartment it was nice and clean and homey. The view of the dam was amazing .

The Chalets aren’t up to scratch with patchwork tiles, damaged stained carpets, no electric back-ups, not insulated for the extreme cold or heat. There are very expensive hidden costs and other costs. We only learned these things once checked in. You pay to enter as you are “entering a nature reserve” which wasn’t included in our booking fee. We have to buy wood and fire lighters to use the Chalet’s fireplace. This cost us so much for our 5 day stay. There isn’t wifi in the chalet and only in the main building. There is no after hours assistance at the resort. You have to plan well with the reception, shop, restaurant, activities and load shedding time tables to have a good stay. Some things were way too expensive for us and we couldn’t enjoy the Quads, Archery, shooting etc and only 1 of us used the Spa. We chose very few activities as we were already went over budget with our data, wood, restaurant, groceries, and activity costs. Before arriving I did mention it was our Wedding Anniversary on 4th July and wanted something to surprise my husband and kids for dinner that evening. When I got there and told the restaurant manager (I think she was the manager) she said nothing was said to her and she would’ve set a table up for us if she was told she and the waitress felt bad and gave us a free dessert

The 21km dirt road was in a very good condition and our RS4 went over it with ease. The drive to and from the resort, has spectacular views. The wildlife is fantastic and roam freely. There’s tons of activities at the resort. The restaurant is good and catered well to our vegetarian needs. The waitress Justina took excellent care of us. The shop is quite handy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lucille is an absolute star. Commando was so kind. David was so entertaining with the 4X4 drive and boat cruise. Thank you Craig for the information and assistance. Fred the mascot was an absolute hit with the kids. Lovely play area for our kids. With load shedding we spent time in the main building to get hot water for drinks and make use of the Wifi and games. The Chalet design is beautiful and has what you need. The beds are luxurious. The additional heaters really helps with the cold as the fire place only warms the lounge.
