Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaWe should be informed that the hot tub is available only upon request. One of the reasons that lured me to booking was that the guest house had a hot tub. Other than that, everything was on point.
The stuff was very welcoming. Always ready to assist you with a smile on their faces. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

I loved everything about the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the fact that they extended our check out time that afforded us an opportunity to go to church early morning. Truly appreciated indeed, it was very accommodating of them. There are lots of ammenities but it's just that we did not get the time to use them due to our tight schedule whilst there.

South AfricaThat the pool and hot tub was not prepared although they knew guest are coming as that was one of our main reasons for choosing them. Outside table and chairs near braai area doesn't have shade. Hot tub that's in the bar, but then there is no alcohol allowed in that area, doesn't make sense.
The host was excellent, rooms very neat and clean. The caretaker was also very hands-on.

South AfricaIt’s still new, so when you enter the room there is still the smell of cement or crack filler of sorts. This gave me a headache and awakened my sinuses. I trust that will be sorted for the guests that are yet to come though. I didn’t appreciate that the family house is intertwined with the guest room and there is no key to lock the room.
This is a new property on the app, so everything is still a work in progress, however, I am so happy with their progress thus far. The room is beautiful and well worth the money spent. It’s a quiet area in general, but there’s a highway right behind the property where you hear cars passing all night. I’m a light sleeper, so that woke me up a couple of times. Other than that, it’s a good location in Brackenhurst. The bedding and towels were my favourite thing. So soft. The double shower was a plus for me too, as I enjoy taking showers with my partner.
