Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe main thing that we did not like what that everyone was constantly smoking everywhere, even inside the hotel. So everything was smelling smoke and while you were eating breakfast you had always smoke in your face- what is not healthy and also kind of discusting. Also we could not enjoy the Breakfast or the terrace due to the noise of people, even employees, using mobilephones on speaker in full noise for videocalks or watching stuff . Behavior like this is just anoying and disrespectfull for other people- and also very unprofessional when it comes from the stuff. Also there was no other way to go to the hotel then the elevator- most likley not the fault of the hotel, but for me a minus since i have claustrophobia and was always scared to go with the elevator. Beds and towels could be more soft for us - but we are a little spoiled with that stuff. Sadly there was nothing to sit on the small balcony, a table and 2 chairs would have been nice.
The Hotel is very central. I was surprised and happy that is was very quiet in the room, it was very good for sleeping. The room was big and overall clean and had a lot of space for clothing whst was very nice. Also we had a small balcony, sadly without anything to sit outside. The stuff was very nice and helpful with all our wishes and questions. On the terrace you have a very nice view over Pejë. Breakfast ist small but good and includes all important things.

United KingdomThe tv in the room was so fiddly but we managed to make it work. The light in the room was a bit too dim to read comfortably.
Very interesting building, probably from Yugoslavian times, just minutes from the bus station. The views from the city and surrounding mountains were impressive. The restaurant (with said views) had excellent local dishes, which, as well as the room, was so inexpensive, especially for how enjoyable it was. Another positive note about the eating area is that the staff were playing pleasant, grown-up music, a relief from the ubiquitous Albanian Hip-Hop which seems unavoidable in this part of Europe.

PolandI waited half an hour for my crepes. In the morning half an hour may mean you will miss your flight.
I loved the location and the view from the terrace. It's just 7 min walk from the bus station. The staff is very friendly and nice. Not everyone speaks English though. Breakfast was good, there were not too many people so I had to order it but it was OK.

United Statesthree or four times over a week's stay, staff tried to enter the room without knocking or announcing themselves. they just tried opening the door or inserting their key in the lock to open it. once was to check on the AC, not sure why for the other attempts, i assume for cleaning. recommend keeping your door locked unless you want a surprise visit.
wonderful staff. everyone speaks at least some english, and some staff are completely fluent. everyone is friendly and kind. breakfast is good, with a nice small variety. wifi worked perfectly the entire time. bed linens and towels are good quality. good strong shower. nice view. strong AC. good sturdy desk for working. comfortable bed. location is perfect - 5 minute walk from bus stop, 10 minute walk from train station, right next to the eastern entrance of the old bazaar. lots of bakeries, restaurants, and shops steps away. would definitely stay here again.

Switzerland- When leaving the elevator you were already able to smell the smoke of cigaretts. As a non-smoker it is not really nice entering the lobby and being faced by that small. - Bathroom was clean but that hairdryer. If you have long and full hair you better take your personal one with you. You will save lots of time. Also there was a strong smell of chemicals in the bathroom. I guess its due to their cleaning products. - Lobby looks like it has seen its best times and it was way to dark in the evening.
Location is amazing. You are in the middle of the centre and you can reach everything within minutes. Staff at the parking was really friendly and helpful. The younger staff upstairs in the hotel was also very friendly and helpful. Room was big and it was really nice being able to move around.
