Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeJust a bit pricey but I guess that’s waikiki. The rooms didnt have good lighting it was too dim at night to read, but I guess most people dont go there to read. The valets were sometimes a bit distracted so i had to go looking for them, but it wasn’t bad
Excellent location, loved that they loan beach gear for patrons, valet service, stylish and clean rooms, relatively attentive staff

AustraliaThe reception girls seemed a little less helpful. I made requests that were either not fulfilled or seemed they’re brushed off. Would have been nice to have kettle and/or coffee in the room.

United StatesI was mostly disappointed that there wasn't a coffee machine or tea kettle in the room. The only option in the morning is downstairs in the coffee shop, and they're about $5-6 each, which is pretty pricey. I'd rather just be able to make one in the room, not have to get ready etc. before I can have one in the morning. The pool was very relaxing in the early afternoon and evening, especially with the pool bar for drinks and food. However, there were a lot groups of kids there from around 2-6PM every day, which made it much less relaxing. When I booked it, it seemed a bit more like a solo traveler or couples hotel, so I wasn't really expecting as many groups of kids. Since the pool isn't very large, it's not really possible to use it during this time, unless you want to be in the middle of the chaos.
The location was good. About 10-15 minutes walking to most of the downtown activities. The hotel has very trendy, modern decor. Some of the additional services at the pool were a nice touch. I got a henna tattoo and a new ear piercing while I was there. I had drinks in the bar with my friend a few times and we both enjoyed the drinks, although the non-alcoholic drinks are expensive for what they are. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived quite early before check in (around midday). I was able to store my luggage and go straight to the pool to relax, which was nice after the long flight. I also got a free drink with check in, the pina coladas at the pool bar are delicious.

United StatesThe lobby was too small and often crowded. Our room was also a little too tight, but they had made good use of the space with a small wall-mounted desk that folded up when not in use.
Very good location close to the main strip yet quiet and with a nice view (at least from our room), good price, staff was welcoming and friendly, and the hotel restaurant was wonderful.

United KingdomThe patio door rattled in the wind all through the night despite wedging the gap with folded up paper. TV channels so-so for a 4-star. On-site food was expensive and small portions. Lots of traffic noise through the night including police sirens from the adjacent artery.
Outstanding gym. Soothing Hawaiian music whilst working out on high quality equipment. Well equipped too. Superb. Great room size. Welcome cocktail. Front of house, pool and bar staff all excellent. Make use of the free entry to Bishop Museum = a real hidden gem.

United StatesNo microwave in room or coffee in room. Not a huge deal but we really enjoy waking up with a cup of coffee in our room before heading down for the day.
The lobby and restaurant with amenities being open and right by the pool made the whole experience feel like you are at a resort. We booked a corner king room with lanai and that was amazing to have the windows open and feel the constant breeze.

United StatesWere were in town for Ohana and stayed here. I am not a fan of Waikiki an found a quiet place on the Ala Wai. The room was clean with a Lanai. There is a restaurant there. Although we didn't eat there, it seemed to do good business. The staff was courteous and friendly. The location is good so that you can come and go without driving through the congestion of Kalakaua Ave. We had a pleasant stay. here.

AustraliaNoticed a couple of small cockroaches in the room on our last day. Also, if you stay in room 11 on any floor, note that the room lights are on a dimmer that's controlled by a black box attached to the lights.
Staff are very kind and helpful, they allowed us an early check in. Really chill, island vibes throughout the hotel, the pool service is a nice touch.
