This is my first choice of Hotels to stay at when I'm in San Jose. Nick is always very accommodating and courteous and the room is cleaned daily. I truly appreciate the comfortable environment at the Convention Inn and Suites.

This inn is remarkably clean & spotless. Though an older facility, it has new renovation feels and you can tell it is well taken care of. The owner is so kind & fun. He clearly cares about customers, the facility & loves his job. Though it is downtown, it does stay quiet which was a plus. Rooms are spacious and have a desk, chairs, fridge, TV and separated bathroom/sink area. Parking lot is a huge plus as well. I highly recommend this accomodation if you are in San Jose for work or play!

The only thing i would have preferred was different were the pillows on the bed. I struggled to get comfortable for sleeping with those. they're just really small, square like pillows, maybe a bit wider would be better.

There were many places to have dinner and/or breakfast within walking distance. The front desk was very friendly and attentive and provided great recommendations for where to eat. The room was clean and comfortable with a desk, fridge and microwave. The property was quiet and peaceful.

Staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very large. There was a nice cafe next door and a good breakfast spot close by, and the motel was walking distance to the convention center. The rooms were also clean and obviously recently remodeled, with comfortable beds and seating.

There are no convenience stores. Some coffee shops around corners but can't find a drug store nearby. But you could order Amazon to the office, and Uber is always available. I'd prefer stay here to spending lots of $$$ in big name hotels.

Room is not only clean, but with very comfortable bed, spacious with dining area, everything-is-new bathroom. 2 TVs in single room. But the best of all was hospitality by Nick, the manager!! He was always reachable and so kind.

I can’t think of anything I would change

I was in town for the week working at the convention center. So much better than just a tiny hotel room! It’s a quick 6-7 minute walk to the convention center, and I was able to come back to a clean, comfortable, roomy place and always greeted by the friendliest and hardest working staff ever. The mini-fridge is much larger than the average hotel fridge so if you’re there for an extended stay you can stock up on what you need. I loved my stay and really appreciate everything about this property.

This is my second time staying here. The rooms are super clean, and the staff is wonderful. I appreciate the free parking and the fact that it is about a 3-minute drive to SJSU. I recommend it to everyone staying in that part of San Jose.

This is my second time staying at the Convention Center. I love everything about this place. Nick is the nicest person you would ever want to meet at the front desk. The rooms are beautiful. I will stay here anytime I'm close to San Jose.

The hotel is an updated motel. All of the room doors open to the outside courtyard, which is open to the public so there is no real security. You can simply walk into the parking lot and then through the open archways into the courtyard. I stayed on the second floor and didn't find the lock to be very sturdy, so I did lean into my anxiety a little and push a chair up against the door. I would NOT have felt safe staying on the first floor as a single woman. A locking gate on the entrance to the courtyard would go a long way in making it feel much safer. I scored the Facilities a bit lower due to the courtyard situation.

This place is in an excellent location if you're going to the San Jose Convention Center. It was a short walk to get to the convention center in the morning and I passed by several great coffee shops en route. I was there alone on a business trip and felt safe as a single woman walking in the area in the morning. At night, I either walked back with a group of folks who were either staying there or close by, or took a Lyft back if I was further away, so I never walked the area alone at night. There were some lots with construction happening, so I would have felt a little uncomfortable walking by them alone at night but they could be avoided by navigating on the side streets. It was also a lot cheaper than the other hotels in the area, so if you're on a budget, this is worth it.

Location close to downtown and convention center where I had business. Very clean room and quiet. I had to cut my trip short and was not charged for night I didn't use.
