Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Stateseverything was fine, a small trash receptacle wasn't emptied in my room when i arrived, but as soon as I alerted the host, it was taken care of : )
There was no breakfast offered, I wasn't aware of this until we arrived, however, looking back at the reservation email, it did mention that the breakfast could not be offered due to timeof year, I guess. I must have missed that detail when I received the reservation confirmation.!

Beautiful house and rooms! Very responsive to emails and accommodating special requests. We stayed here for a quick getaway after our wedding on short notice. They were able to have a bottle of champagne with only a couple hours notice. And we're quick to mail a jacket we left behind. Great customer service.

Property was beautiful and the owners were very friendly and took great care of us! Our room was amazing and had its own air conditioner and ceiling fan. Our breakfast was delicious and it was served on china dishes, and you could even get a pitcher of Mimosas if you wanted too! We also attended an event on the property, the Pavilion was beautiful and all the staff were very pleasant and friendly! The Victoria Inn truly exceeded our expectations- we will definitely be back!

The Victorian Inn is charming. It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The breakfast meal is outstanding - plentiful and delicious. It is very close to the shore.

United States1.) we were informed at 4PM the day of our arrival that there was an event at the house. this meant when we arrived we had to stay in our small room or pay to be “at the party”. The room was small with one small chair and the bed squeezed loudly anytime you moved. 2.) the event was a “medium” this contradicted our belief and created anxiety. if we had been informed sooner we could have and would have made other arrangements
