The key cards were a pain. We had to have them reprogrammed just about every time. After the first time, and advice from the staff, we kept them in separate areas away from phones, and STILL every time we had to come down to have them re done.

Convenient location, great staff and clean.

Location is nice but a bit far of from locations where activities are. In San Diego you drive anyway.

Amazing Breakfast, warm pool, nice interior in the room, parking in front of the door.

The noise isolation is not good enough. I could hear sounds from neighbouring rooms obviously. The bed is too soft for me. Limited parking slots, but it was not difficult to park in nearby streets.

It is clean and well-organised. The staff are nice. Good location.

water pressure in shower very low, even for California, bed too low to floor, road in front of hotel seemed dangerous to cross on foot or bicycle (which I did not rent) due to speeding cars. A stop sign given location of hotel in relation to harbor, would be sensible. No apparent assistance for carrying luggage up stairs

lovely, room and furnishing, good soundproofing, comfortable mattress helpful receptionist, good, included breakfast with nice fruit, beautiful, outdoor pool and restaurant

Slightly more facilities (mini fridge in the room, breakfast in the restaurant) would have been nice, but we managed very well without

The room was very nice and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was also easy to reach and in walking distance of the sea.

Sadly the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday nights (the 2 nights I stayed) so there was not much going on in the hotel whilst I was there - it was very quiet. I was told that it’s a great place for cocktails (when open!). It would also have been great to have some comfortable loungers by the pool rather than just upright chairs.

The location was great with good coffee shops and eateries and Shelter Island all within walking distance. The room was very clean and airy. The bed was so comfortable and the toiletries provided were great too. The hotel is small and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The AC didn’t work. The place was slowly dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane, so the pool seemed to need upkeep.

Lack of iron and ironing board and coffee maker in the rooms was disappointing. I wouldn’t usually miss an iron but travelling for work sometimes requires it. I’d recommend coffee makers in the rooms.

Great property, beautifully renovated and nice style with lots of lively details. Comfortable spaces.

The pricing structure could be more straightforward; the Pearl charges a $20 convenience fee for what other hotels would build into the price, e.g. wifi, coffee.

Elevated but not luxurious decor. Location is great, you can walk directly to the water and nearby shops.

some aspects of the hotel are looking a little tired. all the extra fees add up and really increase the overall nightly charge. the resort fee is a bit silly, given the winter time pool (shaded and not really heated enough to go in) situation.

Third time at the pearl. we like the aesthetic over typical hotels. the restaurant is convenient and has good quality snacks and local beer on tap. bar/restaurant staff are great.

I think that price wise, it can be slightly less.

I loved the vibe that the boutique hotel created compared to how other hotels in the area looked. I also think the staff regardless of their role, made me feel wonderful as a guest. I had a front desk employee clean the pool when I went down there to swim.

The room we had didn't have a plug for the CPAP machine i use at night. They did compensate us with knocking off the parking fee.

Overall, the hotel is very good. The bar was open with a lovely happy hour, the pool was nice, other guests respected the quiet hours and our room had a window with a view of the screen where they projected movies. It's walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and deli for small items.
