We arrived super early about 8.30am. Were told checkin at 4 and to come back later. No problem, we left cases and went out exploring. Returned about 2.30 and just asked in a friendly manner if room might be available, same lady said no come back at 4. Sat down in lobby another half an hour and hubby said go ask how much breakfast is. This time happened to get a man, said we just waiting on our room for 4 o’clock but can you please advise breakfast price and he said ‘oh just let me check if it’s ready, oh yes it is ready’ so not sure how long it had been ready for but pretty sure the lady was going to make us wait til 4!!

Great hotel, great location, didn’t have breakfast as felt it was a little expensive, Rooms lovely and clean. Personally we wouldn’t return to Hollywood, didn’t enjoy the feeling of being unsafe, drug affected people on the streets etc. But if you did have to stay, it is a great hotel.

While the hotel had an excellt location and some lovely amenities, I found that certain areas, especially the bathroom, felt a bit tired for a 4-star establishment. The area around the sink could use some attention, as it didn’t reflect the standard I would expect from this calibre of hotel. Additionally, one of the table lamps in our room was not working. Unfortunately, due to our busy schedule of exploring the area, I didn’t have the time to call housekeeping for a repair. It was a minor inconvenience, but it did detract from the overall comfort of our stay. We opted for breakfast one day, and I have to say, it was quite expensive, especially since our booking didn’t include it. As a result, we ended up eating cereal in our room for most of our stay to save on costs. Another disappointing aspect was our experience by the pool. The staff there didn’t seem very happy, which made the atmosphere less inviting. We spent a lounge day by the pool and decided to order some sandwiches and fruit. Unfortunately, the sandwiches were not enjoyable at all—the bread was not fresh and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for quite some time. I would not recommend the food options at the pool. On a positive note, the cocktails were delicious! It was great to unwind with a refreshing drink, and I appreciated the variety on the menu. Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects of my stay, I believe there are areas for improvement that the hotel should address to enhance the guest experience. I hope my feedback is helpful for both future guests and the hotel management.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic hotel during my trip to Los Angeles, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! First and foremost, the location was absolutely excellent. I chose this hotel based on the glowing reviews, and I’m so glad I did. It was the perfect base for discovering the main attractions in the area, especially as a first-time visitor to LA. I was thrilled to find that I could easily take the metro to Universal Studios, which was just one stop away! The accommodations were very good. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the soft pillows made for restful nights. I had requested a room with a view of the Hollywood sign, and waking up to that breathtaking sight every morning was a highlight of my stay. One of the standout features of the hotel was the heated swimming pool, which we enjoyed several times, especially in the evenings. It was a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploring. I also loved the bar and restaurant area; we dined there multiple times and were consistently impressed. The cocktails were delightful, and I highly recommend the steak—absolutely delicious! A special shoutout to the staff, particularly Yessica, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. We also enjoyed the hotel’s breakfast buffet on one occasion, which was fantastic with a great variety of options. The staff there were equally lovely, making our dining experience enjoyable. The area outside the hotel provided a pleasant space to relax while waiting for taxis, and being adjacent to the Ovation complex with its shops and restaurants was an added bonus. Being adjacent to the Dolby theatre and taking the tour was just sureal! Overall, my stay was nothing short of amazing, and I can’t wait to return to this wonderful hotel on my next visit to Los Angeles!

I was not able to check in til 9 pm after having traveled 6 hours and arrived at 3pm. I was not able to truly enjoy the property. Had to check out at 11 am so I feel the $600 room charge was steep considering I was only there for 14 hours.

The location can’t be beat. The rooms are very spacious.

Every employee that I met at the hotel, was super helpful and asking if there was anything we needed. When We went to checkin, I was told that we could upgrade to a suite as we were celebrating our 42nd anniversary. The beds were very comfortable, but the customer service was the best I ever experienced.

Good breakfast. Fantastic location. You can get the metro which is 2 mins walk from hotel to universal. Then walk over the bridge and get the free shuttle. £1.75 each way per person.
